All 3 partitions were created, but formatting on sda2 and sda3 failed. I manually formatted them using the commands in the blog and I'm now up and running.

Thanks Af123. Are the backups a single file or a selection of files? Also, will the partitions be visible if the old drive is mounted via a USB chassis

TBH, I'm only really interested in the recording schedule, and the channels I've removed. Where are the backups for the recording schedule stored? Hopefully I can then copy those over from the command line. I agree. A clean slate is always a better option. :-)

Crashing when accessing the web portal is relatively new for me. Maybe 4 or 5 months. I don't use it too much, but the kids do. Are there any logs anywhere that will tell me why it's rebooted? Is it the humax executable thats hanging or something else?

I've been noticing the same thing for the past few months. The only things I have connected are the aerial, hdmi and a LAN cable. How long ago was the cf updated with a new kernel? When mine reboots, the picture freezes for a few seconds, but the audio continues.

Hi there, My HDR used to take a nightly backup of the schedule. Since last June, I've noticed that the auto backup hasn't been happening. Is this something I can re-enable or was this something that was removed from the webif at some point? Thanks.
