Eek, you're absolutely right - the record button on the remote gives no output :mad: but all the other buttons do. Just goes to show, remotes aren't bullet proof as expected... Time to get the multimeter out..... :(

Have tried holding the record button for 30-60 seconds - but nothing... :(

I have tried just pressing and holding the recording button (red dot) for 3-4 seconds but nothing - how long a press does it require? I recall the manual just says press it :( I mean it seems to work ok if you schedule a recording or while viewing the EPG select a future program to record.
