I have been trying to get ITVX working using the method described in the preceding posts but am having no luck. Here is the output:
Lounge# youtube -F https://www.itv.com/watch/vera/1a7314/1a7314a0014

Install the Youtube-dl package and download the programme using the command line (Telnet) or also install the Qtube package and download through Webif. If using Telnet, it is best to open an abduco session first (install the abduco package) to keep the session live if the Telnet connection...
This stirred something in my memory. If you attach the HDD to the HD-FOX and run the 'assignhd' diagnostic (custom firmware function - Webif or command line) it will make the drive recordable.
I noticed that the series link I set up for the Handmaid's Tale on Channel 4HD had not updated after the first episode. I set it up again but it seems that this series has now been given the same series CRID as a programme called 'Handmade': If you set up a series link for one of the series it...
Converting a ts file to an m2ts file only needs the audio and video streams to be copied, as stated by @Black Hole and @prpr above. For example:
ffmpeg -i "File A.ts" -c copy "File A.m2ts"
This is all you need to copy one video and one audio stream from the ts file and change the packet size...
I made sure I had the latest version of youtube-dl (2021.12.17b) and then set up a download on youtube. The download worked but was throttled: I got the error message WARNING: [youtube] Couldn't extract YouTube video throttling parameter descrambling function name
Is there a fix for this available?
If it helps I have a couple of episodes of Doctor Who with 5.1 audio:
Stream #0:0[0x19c9]: Video: h264 (High) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv420p(tv, bt709, progressive), 1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 25 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc...
Have you tried analyzing the recordings (original and edited) with ffprobe? If you have ffmpeg installed on your HDR-FOX you can use the following from the command line:
ffprobe -i "Recording Name.ts"
This will tell you exactly which streams are available in each file.
EDIT. To add, first copy...
The front panel of the DTR-T1000 is the same part as was used in the RE version of the HDR-FOX T2. It has version 12 of Micom, rather than version 9, but either version of the panel works with both revisions of the HDR-FOX T2. Several years ago I fixed a HDR-FOX T2 that which was scrolling...
To add to the post #463, downloads from ITV hub with version 2021.06.06e of youtube-dl appear to be working (complete with subtitles) with just the Mozilla/5.0 user agent; the use of 'fakehttp' with a patched 'ITV.py' does not seem to be necessary. It would be good to test this further to be...
Thanks. You are correct about the extra zero which explains the initial failure. I had queued a few downloads and I edited the URL number suffix from '9' (0009) to '15' (00015) but it should have been '0015' not '00015'
I still cannot get downloads to work though from ITV hub. I have tried...
I've tried a few different files to no avail, the download fails when it tries to extract information from the requested webpage. I you do this in a regular browser (e.g. Chrome or Opera for Android) you are asked to log in and then you can play the file on that device. I tried adding user...
Having problems with ITV hub again. It was working on Sunday evening but since Monday it has been failing. I am using the the latest available version (2021.06.06e) with the modification for ITV hub as suggested by @/df using 'fakehttp' to allow subtitles to be downloaded. It starts to download...
