The Reading/Basingstoke choice is presented after the full channel scan. The only difference is in the local channel "That's TV" on LCN7. You can select whichever local channel you want to see. The selected one goes on LCN 7 and the other one gets put onto LCN 800.

Okay, removing Tunefix cures the problem.
I've had a look in /mod/boot/tunefix.conf using the File Editor on the WebIf Diagnostics page and can see nothing about removing a whole mux, just particular channels.
However, xinit.log does contain something about Com78:

In my case, on all occasions this has occurred, the box controls have frozen and will not respond to the front panel or remote. The web i/f is still working, but the only way to stop the recording if it is still going is to switch off mains power.
Okay, so after two months of good behaviour (without Foxlink) I reinstalled Foxlink Monday. Tuesday night, a recording that should have lasted one hour was still recording away Wednesday at 9 am! Surely not just coincidence? I had to remove mains power to stop the recording.
