agreed - but those fields may be transmitted unpopulated or the file format created by Humax and then they decided it was too tricky filling them in.

It is in the .HMT file. There is a lot in there - including shoeboxes for the Episode number, Total episodes etc .... just not populated AFIACS. I'm not even sure if the HMT is simply a dump of an info package as transmitted or somehow built for several by the SW on the Humax

Further to this, does anyone know what populates the Episode number etc please? I have never seen a file with them filled in and wonder if I am missing something (either fact or feature). I have tried to search both here and generaly to no avail

That's useful - ta. I have shied away from an SSD in there as if it fails, it fails absolutely so I'd have to copy stuff off more religiously than I already do
