I wouldn't be surprised if the firmware on the Humax Youview box could be run on the HDR but just runs slower. It doesn't look that much faster on the vids i have seen today. I reckon you CF programmers will be upgrading us to Youview lite before you know it!

Has anyone figured out the best software to use to play unencrypted HD files on PC?

I've had a go at Humax via uksupport@humax-digital.co.uk I suggest you do too or they won' know how annoyed we are at the lack of guidance or instruction.

Just to check you are doing same as me: Switch on Humax for a few minutes to be sure it has fully booted, open XBMC (X Box Media Center), click Videos, Add source, Browse, uPnP devices and you should see it. only got it working with XBMC. I don't know why wmp doesn't work with it.

same happened to me using ext3 volume manager. I had to get my brother to reformat in linux. I too was playing with fire!

did you enable "content Share" on humax under menu>settings>system>internet setting>content share ON?

iplayer works in hd and banner goes away. performance seems quicker too. problems with navigation i saw earlier have gone.

in 1080p too
