Why I copy the files off my HDR onto the Nvidia / SSD. They play as well as the codec has moved along way in 10+ years that the Humax was designed and built. Great advise I got on the board re the Nvidia. Think it was when we were getting tired of its capabilities as a media player. Also a great...
Problem with boxes and old TV that include "apps" is that the developers and providers stop supporting them well before the equipment breaks. The HDR was a disappointment in that unlike FreePlay and YouView it never covered all the broadcasters just BBC.
As Blackhole said above the iPlayer now...
There is this one from Amazon. Very similar design. Doesn't have the option to control the TV but no issue if you don't use that middle top button. Doesn't hsve the ring around the ok button but all function are there. Currently <£10. My original one was wearing out. Soft or hard... hmmm not so...
Yes post 15 of here under beta... not the prpr linked post of the conversation.
https://hummy.tv/forum/threads/iplfix-bbc-iplayer-fix.10087/page-2
It did the drop box fine it just reported errors when installed but fixed the iPlayer. Reading that original post on the beta side looked like it...
Option 1 of 15 is Black Hole's post on that thread answering your question here :).
Suspected why Black Hole's post worked with errors today was that iplfix got altered so you didn't have to do his Option 1 of his post 15 on that original thread. Explains perhaps what those errors were. Just...
Option 1 of 15 worked with some errors... deleted that screen so can't post up what they were but is now working fine. Thanks. That's on the standard custom software, some ambiguity as to whether you needed to be on the beta programme given where it's posted but no. Mind you normal wobbly HDR...
Btw was about I'm stuffed for 4HD since in rural Wales we don't get the Freeview HD transmitter, the previous owner didn't bother with a UHF aeriel, just put a sat dish up. Not paying for Sky. Freesat, 4 had a squabble with Freesat and pulled the HD channels and the All4 app off the Humax...
Good now I'd like the apk file exported and uploaded Aptoide TV. Apkextractor does that but there are other utilities. I'm kind of expecting it will load into a general Android TV box.... unless it's routed.
The other way is providing the Google Play package address for it in the library not...
Anybody who has it does it have the Channel 4 or All4 app on it. Screen shots would suggest it does.
As you probably know C4 has been a bit funny about release an Android TV app for All4. Chromecast with Google TV apps do work on Android TV... well some do. eg. the BBC iPlayer radio app. Like...
Ok I believe it was a rogue parameter file .t... file which was messing things up.
Deleted the package. Rebooted the Humax, installed the package again. Picked off another file... fine. Tried with the one before... same problem. Repeat above. Tried a different one fine. So reckon the file was...
Thanks for the reply. The icon disappears after it's failed to load a file. Under service management status of transmission then toggles to OFF.
Would I be correct in thinking this has nothing to do with the ISP doing anything and the issue is self contained within the Humax and even has...
As of today the Transmission page has stopped working. It was working a few days ago. Is there a reason for this. It's been fine for years.
If I follow the notes:
https://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Custom_Firmware_Package_Notes#Transmission_.28Bit_Torrent.29
We have transmission launched I then...
