    1.03.12 download

I was trying to download the standard firmware 1.03.12, to use to fix BootHDR iPlayer issues. It appears to have disappeared from the Humax website, as pointed to by the Wiki. http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/products/product_releases.php?gid=476&pid=6 Anyone know where it is kept now?

What you are seeing there is the difference in episode synopsis between the BBC and other broadcasters. The BBC tends to put the episode number in text at the start of the episode synopsis (e.g. "1/6. Islands:" meaning episode 1 of 6). So the dedup code extracts the name of the episode (in this...

Huamx demanding I reformat the disk

You sir, are a genius. I had already tried the HD assigning from the on-screen menu, but that didn't work. I didn't know there was another way via the diag commands. And it worked. Thank you. TOS

Huamx demanding I reformat the disk

I have a HD-Fox T2 with an ext3 formatted external hard drive. Earlier this week there was a power glitch (thank you Doris), and since then the Humax has been unhappy. It would not show the whole webif pages (just the top banner) and it would not process any of the dedup or auto-shrink...

    [rs] Remote Scheduling v1

Whenever I use the rs package to delete a recording, it's failing and I get the error message "!Error encountered whilst processing the unschedule command - "rsv insert" method called with no object". Any ideas what I've broken?

    [rs] Remote Scheduling v1

I get a number of orphaned .hmt files with autoshrink, when the Hummy develops a race condition between the autoshrink process and either dedup or the box powering down. A stray copy of the .hmt file with the 'as recorded' name is left in the original place when a complete set of files with the...

Problems booting into HDR mode on HD Fox T2

I telnet, as you need to telnet into the box to clean up the stray files and directories that get left behind after you exit HDR mode, so you might as well fire up a terminal program anyway.

    Corrupt recordings + nicesplice issue

I tried it on six files that failed under 'nicesplice'. With 'nsplice' five of them cropped correctly. The sixth produced a correct length, but unplayable file (when you choose 'play' it drops you back into the file display). So nsplice is definitely better.

    Corrupt recordings + nicesplice issue

Can I second this request? The cropping of HD recordings is getting increasingly likely to fail. I'm up to about 50% of recordings now.

    [nicesplice]+[nicesplice-magic-folders] On box video editing

Is anyone else having trouble with nicesplice and HD recordings? I have a number of HD recording that will not be processed correctly by nicesplice. They always fail early into the .ts file with an EOF error. I've tried encrypted and decrypted files, shrunk and unshrunk, but the files always...

    Scripts Query

I've been using the BootHDR package extensively, and would like to thank the individuals that developed it. When you uninstall it, it leaves behind a few stray folders, so rather than bug you all to fix it, I thought I would have a go at writing a script to clean it up. I now have a ten line...
