In the absence of a Netflix app on the Hummy, I'd like to stream it from my laptop. I've enabled 'Content sharing' on the box, and have my Windows 10 laptop set up as a DLNA server - I can see my library folder on the TV through the Hummy. But when I play Netflix on the PC it doesn't come to the...
I was away when I saw your post; came back and immediately threw my 28 gb file at the updated Nicesplice. It worked flawlessly - kept around 15% of it and discarded the dross in about 5 minutes - report below if you're interested.

Many thanks to everyone who took the trouble to reply; at the moment I can't see a way around the problem other than to copy this large file off (via scart) onto another PVR, which has editing built in. Could do it off box, but I know that (even assuming I can get the file transferred) the...

Thanks everyone for the prompt suggestions; looks like some deeper background reading is required, then I'll begin again, but with a bit better sense of direction!!
That makes sense - but looking at the files produced on the Hummy with Filezilla I only see four files - no hmi! I've copied those four to my PC and streamed them to the HDR - no 5.1, whereas streaming a 5.1 movie gives me 5.1 sound.
I thought I should be able to take one of these recordings...
Hi all
I've been reading this forum for the last 6 months - since I became a member of the Hummy family! Happy with just about everything - except this! I've found that, if I record a programme in HD with 5.1 audio, then copy it to USB via Filezilla and Foxy, I keep the HD video, but the 5.1...
