How do I retrospectively decrypt a whole folder of files?

THanks. All part of the learning curve! Now we have come across, in same Log column, another couple of error messages: "Could not load .ts file" & "DLNA Server not running" I have searched at this forum for these terms, but cannot find any quick-glossary type of list explaining what they mean...

How do I retrospectively decrypt a whole folder of files?

Have finally found more time, post the summer months, to carry on, after hitting a problem. Had successfully been decrypting. But have now hit an error. The error message the Webif states in the (Decryption) Queue is, in the Log column: "File size mismatch" What does this mean? How do I remedy it?

How do I retrospectively decrypt a whole folder of files?

We want to retrospectively decrypt a folder of files. These files have not yet been decrypted, as they were recorded off the TV back when we knew even less ,-) re what we were doing with a Humax than we do now - LOL! ,-) So we now need to decrypt all these files, after the files have already...

What is the difference between "decryption" & "decryption (direct, slower)"?

We are now back from holiday! ,-) Thanks, Ezra Pound. Great help. In answer: No, we never use the +OPT button on the remote to move files. We use a computer WebIf instead, as a user can see far more folders/files there, than on the on-TV-screen interface, & the C&P system is far easier. We do...

What is the difference between "decryption" & "decryption (direct, slower)"?

Further to our earlier query, we have another query re decryption: We have several external USB drives, all containing encrypted files. They are all recordings of standard definition (not Hi-Def). We have only recently set all new recordings to automatically decrypt - My Video is now set to...

Will an HDR-FOX T2 read an external drive that has a port that is both USB2 & USB3?

Will a Humax HDR-FOX T2 read an external drive that has a port that is both USB2 & USB3? We are looking to use an external USB drive - a Freecom Tough Drive 3.0 - that has this dual-option port. It has a 2TB capacity, so should read OK as our other external drives: Seagate Expansion Toshiba...

What is the difference between "decryption" & "decryption (direct, slower)"?

Have decided will not be doing anything with Detectads until we are happy with the basics of decrypting. As we still have several queries re the fundamentals of the decryption process: Re decryption: is it OK to decrypt while the Humax is recording? We are wondering as have noticed a slowing...

What is the difference between "decryption" & "decryption (direct, slower)"?

Thanks Black Hole. That answers that question i.e. we can ignore that "Direct decryption" option as we own (2 of) the HDR-FOX T2. Trev: where do we locate this Detectads option/software?

Yes, the royal 'we'. How did you guess? Re "detectads": explain your purpose.

What is the difference between "decryption" & "decryption (direct, slower)"?

We own 2 Humaxes. Both are an HDR-FOX T2. We now need to decrypt files, so we can play files - that were recorded on one Humax - on the other; & vice versa. We also intend to start using the VLC software to play files through the WebIf. What is the difference between "decryption" &...
