Thanks for all of your replies. As a result, I have now been able to cut down on the number of buttons now installed on my Pronto universal remote controller. However, last night we were doodling around the channels and happened across what I thought was a doumentary about the James Bond film...

We have recently bought the HDR 1100 PVR and was wondering what the coloured buttons on the remote do. I thought that perhaps they were used for possibly bookmarking recordings but they don't. Does anybody know why they are there. or is it that they are there just in case Humax think of a reason...

Ever since we moved here, we've had "LNB Short" notices pop up from time to time when we changed channels. We ended up checking all the coax cable fittings and found something I'd always understood should never, ever be done. Each one had one strand of the copper mesh touching the core. Not just...

The enclosure is a Dynamode USB-HD3.5S-BN with a separate power supply, so should be OK. Thank you both for your input - much appreciated :thumbsup:

Haven't been here for a while, but in the meantime we have retired and moved house... Anyway... we had the Humax upgraded to a 1TB drive and the original one has been fitted into a USB enclosure; otherwise it is still just as it was when it was removed. Do I need to do anything other than plug...

While delighted with our Foxsat HDR's abilities, we find the handbook rather lacking in information on connectibility. We can find a bare-outline reference to using a USB stick but little else. Can we connect it to the Mac with a USB cable, as we do with the Topfield 5800, to download...
