I have joined the "Finally" club, removing the orange filter, following the YouTube video as I went (also adding a comment about the PCB having 5 screws).
I haven't dimmed the display yet (I have the custom firmware loaded) and do notice the scrolling text but had already bought (from eBay)...
I haven't had time to go into the options yet but a simple test run produced a useable file.
The following, pasted into a text editor such as Notepad and saved with the file extension .bat will give you the starting point
"path\ffmpeg.exe" -i "path\filename.ts" -vcodec copy -acodec aac -strict...
My usual way of working is a CLI batch file that I can run to produce what I need, so in this case it would be (post Foxy) file.ts (with 5.1 LATM AAC) in, file.mkv (with 5.1 AC3) out.

Been there and feel your pain RapsterUK

I have come close a few times. With...
Fell for the Transmission setting trick myself.
We are on the Waltham transmitter and I was disappointed that the first retune (17th.) didn’t include the HD mux and I was on holiday last week when the big bang happened.
I could hardly contain myself when we got home but after many attempts...
I haven't had the chance to try an HD recording yet (we aren't being done 'till August) but I've edited SD by demuxing with ProjectX then importing the streams into Cuttermaran. Various sites have requests for Cuttermaran to handle H264/MPEG 4.
AVS4YOU have a deal on their AVS Video Editor at...
