      Read the Quick Guide to Firmware, USB stick sorted, will give it a go on Humax when it arrives. Going to remove case of the Humax I have now to see if I can see any issue with aerial connection. Doubt I could repair it, but I’m willing to give it a go. Thanks for all the help & advice

      I’ll use one of the plugins for the installation, and to see what it can do, I don’t see me using it much, as long as it records and plays I’m happy, and if it makes this better it will be useful. I don’t see it being networked full time.

      I've bought one from eBay, looks ok, should be here on Monday. Only ever use it to record stuff, never use it to watch TV channels TV has all I need inc apps..Can't complain about the Humax it's done well for a good 10 ish years now.

      Probably going to look for a used replacement off EBay, I understand that any recordings can’t be transferred to the replacement Humax, and swapping hard drives won’t work either. I am thinking of taking the hard drive out to keep as a spare, would this work, and just need reformatting.

Ariel rigger looked at the whole installation, removed the amplifier in loft, which he reckoned wasn't helping the problem,fitted a new wide band aerial in the loft, ran new coax from splitter in loft to downstairs TV, didn't advise using the TV ariel lead which was installed...

      Thanks for all the advice, I’ve tried everything recommended ,bought new HDMI lead and had TV aerial lead and connection lead from Humax to TV made up., that was £28.Re routed HDMI away from aerial leads, Hasn’t worked, removed the channels giving trouble from TV.
