Thanks both; I enabled IR debugging with ir3/debugon, and then watched /var/log/humaxtv.log
As far as I can see, it is not receiving IR codes when the switching etc occurs.
I tried manually pressing the remote whilst watching the log file, and I do see that activity, but I don't see any...
Thanks very much.
I've not yet been able to extract the T2 from the huge pile of inter-wired stuff behind the telly; I will need to dismantle a few other things to do that, but that's the plan, and then I can test it on a long extension from a mains socket in another room, and a bit further...
hi all,
I've noticed what seems to be a bug in the Harmony system's setting of the Humax IR mode.
I've used IR mode 2 on my T2 for years, since I have a FoxSat HDR sitting next to it, which uses IR mode 1. This works perfectly, and when I installed the Harmony system years ago, I used the...
hi all,
Since yesterday, we're suffering quite badly from the problem described in this old thread; I'm not sure whether it's acceptable to resurrect a thread not updated in 5 years, so I'm starting a new one. If folks would prefer I update that old one, I will move this post there.
The...
Heh, all you youngsters growing up with GUI-based Operating Systems, I dunno… :)
The file that is downloaded is not a MacOS "Application", in the sense that you expect. These are often packaged inside DMG disk images, and the resulting Application is in fact a directory containing the...

I'm getting this error in webif-error log, when I try to view the contents of my Flatview dir, via Browse.

Just noticed that the "Close" button isn't doing anything for me, on the Programme Details box from EPG xservice. The "x" box works to close it, but "Close" button does nothing. Other buttons on that row work, e.g. Record series.
JS console shows it detecting the click, but nothing to indicate...
From where are you getting it?
Neither of the three links in the first post of this thread have any extension. You should be grabbing:
https://hpkg.tv/misc/stripts-macosx
which will result in:
$ file stripts-macosx
stripts-macosx: Mach-O 64-bit executable x86_64
$ shasum stripts-macosx...
mine regularly switches itself from 1080p to 576. I also notice occasional video hiccups at 1080p. At 1080i it's more stable, but still occasionally switches itself to 576. when this happens, pressing V-Format suggests that the Humax UI still thinks it's at 1080, but the telly info panel says...
I use a Harmony with mine and it works perfectly, since the Humax still responds correctly to on/off in half-awake state, i.e. it's as though it's still asleep, so the Harmony state model is still correct. I don't use DetectAds, so that may be the issue.
Who was blaming you? :) No, I appreciate the replies.
Yes, very poor comms on their part. I've been using digital TV since the earliest days of ONDigital, and I don't ever recall a planned multi-hour interruption starting that early, without any warning. If every minor retune requires that, I'm...
Also annoying that the UK Digital page said nothing about planned engineering works, until after it was restored, and only a possibly "weak signal" this week. I would have naively expected a 5-hour outage, starting as early as midnight, to have been flagged up slightly more obviously than "you...
I don't see anything in this thread about the entire transmitter needing to be intermittently on/off for 5 hours, for a "minor shuffle" of two muxes :)
How am I supposed to know how they change channels on the muxes?
I didn't expect things to be off for 5+ hours, which is how long it took.
After all, tunefix-update is a useful way to avoid having to retune, but I don't mind retuning now and then, so thought I would see if that helped. Of...
I'm on Sandy Heath too; in Cambridge, and we needed a new aerial some years back, to get all the muxes. Can't remember if it was high-gain, wide-band, or both. Presumably the latter, given my signal strengths are similar for all muxes,
