Thanks,
So would it be best to install the custom firmware (was on HDR_FOX_T2_1.03.12_mod_3.02 with my original Hummy) with the "new" hard disk and then power down and put the original hard disk in (with all my packages and recordings on)? Will the full web interface already be there as it was...
I had the unencrypt package installed (this time I'll make sure I keep a list of all the packages I have installed in case I have to go through it all again) and so pretty much all my recordings should be fine. Are the packages stored on the hard drive too then? (Apart from the flash-based ones)
Thanks everyone for your help (do you only get email notifications about the first new reply on here?),
I've found a 2 year old working one on eBay that I've snapped up - the kids can't get their heads around not being able to pause the telly at the moment and not being able to record (and skip...
Didn't get round to it last night but checked tonight on the 2 voltage lines with everything connected and am getting these:-
I'm thinking that 0.6v ripple on the 12v line might be a bit excessive perhaps? Anyone happen to know what these are on a working Hummy?
I've been in touch with Humax...
Thanks,
Pretty certain mine is the 8 wire version - I'll have a look tonight and report my findings.
Anyone know if spares are available - or is it just a case of buying second hand ones for spares?
Thanks,
I hadn't though of that! I've got a scope so I will try that tonight. Does anyone know what the voltages on the connector to the main board should be? I'll also keep the front panel board connected when testing again.
Just trying that now (sorry, didn't get any emails about new replies after the first reply). Silly question perhaps, but how would I know it was working after disconnecting everything - would there be an output on the HDMI cable?
Been away on hols for a week and had left it on standby to record some stuff.
Got back today and the Standby (amber) Ring was lit but it wouldn't power up by touching the power button or via the remote. I switched it off with the rocker switch on the back, left it a few moments and switched it...
Thanks Harvey,
Yep, that sorted it out. I found out shortly after posting (typically!) but couldn't delete my post - I guess I should have put my edit at the top of the post not at the bottom.
I've had an HDR-FOX T2 for nearly 3 years now with a Panasonic Plasma HD tv connected with HDMI and have just realised that for probably the last couple of weeks the Freeview HD channels are not showing on the telly in HD (they used to) but just SD. If I press i on the Humax remote it's saying...
Hi Andy,
Once I ran this diagnostic:- plugin_autodisable/off (see further up in this thread for what this does), I have never had the problem occur since (been running for months now and performing faultlessly - undelete works exactly as it should). I've just logged into my Hummy from work...
Ahh, you wrote that for the FVRT100 :) I had that installed and one of the modified backgrounds and also the 200 software when that came out - turned it into a much better bit of kit! I ran mine with the lid off all of the time and with the little fan unplugged - to keep it cool and quiet ...
Thanks,
I've installed that and have disabled the plugin-disable safety net. My box is very reliable unlike my old Digifusion FVRT100 (had one previously for several years) so I feel fairly certain that this should be fine.
Re-reading this though presumably this would only have any effect if my...
I have the disable-ota package installed so don't get the very early morning boot up. The undelete behaviour is pretty random other than it seems to work for longer (i.e. delete just moves the files to the Deleted Items folder instead of doing an actual delete) when there is more free disk space...
Just this - it's not altered for months. I've deleted it now from the Web-If so will get a bit more of a clue hopefully next time.

Yep, just tried here today and it has stopped working in that files are being deleted immediately. I've just done a Force Re-install of undelete. And no crashes here either. The empty_dustbin.log keeps being appended to each day though so that part is still working fine!?!?
As af123 suggested I've upgraded multienv to the latest version but undelete has been working fine since (typical :) ) and I've had no crash.logs generated. The box has only ever crashed a couple of times since I've had it.
Undelete stopped working again over the past couple of days (in that files were immediately deleted not put into the "Deleted Items" folder) but the empty_dustbin.log still gets written to? I did a force re-install of it last night, didn't reboot afterwards, so the first boot was just now...
