Fixdisk is still running, "sorting out" about 5-4 recordings a day. Happy to let it run indefinitely.
Out of interest can anyone make sense of the display on the front of the box? It says
"nt_stor:1*70" where * is the whirling symbol used in fixdisk. The 70 was 73 this afternoon. I wondered...
Thanks for the help guys.
Back home after day out and fixdisk has not advanced in over 8 hours! Still accepting a carriage return, so presumably not locked up.
The smartctl output is here
HDR4# smartctl -a /dev/sda
smartctl 6.4 2015-06-04 r4109 [7405b0-smp-linux-2.6.18-7.1] (local build)...
I opened webif on one of my boxes yesterday, only to get the two options: download full webif or telnet menu, The first option gave errors, so I went for the second and ran fix disk.
After about 3 hours it looks like the FAT is scrambled, and it trying to repair it. It has been stuck at this...
It has always been that way, but does only apply to deletions made via webif.
I also find it a pain sometimes, especially if deleting from external HDD to free up space mid-copy.

Thanks MymsMan. I tried what you suggested and it swept all normal recordings not in folders into a new folder, but the mp4 files.

I understand that, but I hoped file based criteria might be more generic.
Thanks to cf we have long been able generate mpg,mp3 files, and mp4 files.

I am having fun downloading stuff from BBC and ITV using youtube-dl / Qtube.
I have been trying to use sweeper to tidy all the files into a folder for sorting later. I have tried “filename contains *.mp4”, but I suspect file extensions are ignored as it doesn’t work.
Has anyone got any...
The episode I was testing with last night seemed to pick up where it left off, and completed in just two and a half minutes. The resulting file is 510mb and runs well in sound and vision for the 46 min shown in the metadata.
Another episode queued as a further test completed in 20 mins (520mb)...
Thanks again MM. Afraid I am not familiar with the coding language. File deleted and rebooted. I will try the ITV programme again and report back. My PC is screaming for a reboot.
Yes the queue is still trying to load. Something seems to eventually overload the system and lock it up, so had to do another restart.
This was all that loaded from queue.db.
Encouraged by MymsMan's successs I decided to give it a go myself. Using my iPad, I long pressed the link for Cold Feet on the web version of ITV Hub and selected 'copy URL' and pasted the result in to QTube on one of my boxes before going to bed.
Checking this morning, not only is there no...
Can someone advise me please.

Yes, I could see two packages in the upgrade list after dismissing the dialogue box once I had copied it into my post. I was just about to edit my post.
Thanks MM
