My own bugbear is the multiple instances of the same episode (confined to cbeebies) as they repeat the episodes regularly (not daily, but every 3/5 weeks depending on number of episodes in series). It's not a huge deal to be fair though.
I'll double check, but I know I can adjust the X-Y of the picture, I believe I can also zoom in-out a couple of notches - hence the question. You'd expect a poor picture if the pixels weren't mapped properly, but then again, would you really notice with a freeview signal?
Sounds like my telly is...
I read a while ago that ideally with en LCD telly the best picture will be gained if you have adjusted the size of the picture on the screen so that the number of pixels disaplayed perfectly equals the number received. The received signal is bigger than it needs to be (overscan - and as has...
This, this, and this again. It is my only serious gripe from my 9200 (and no, it's not really that serious). Only 5 programmes per page... it's terrible (OK, so it's not that terrible). A screengrab icon?... what a pointless waste of developer effort! I want my 10 rows per page (at least)!
aaah, so if I did do it via the custom firmware, the decryption would not have happened (and according to BH's linky, ftp transfer is the same). Gotta use the proper method.
I do have the decryption add-on to the CF, so copy-to-usb should (in theory) work.
Thanks!
When I went to my parents at xmas, I copied some files from the playmedialist onto the portable hdd to take and watch whilst there (we both have HDR-T2s). None of the files played on the other machine ('scrambled or not available' message). I did notice that one of the files was HD, so may not...
I had a similar problem... the Humax was showing around 15 minutes out. Several hours later, the wife said 'looks like the battery's going in the clock'... the clock I was using to compare the time to. Doh!:(
I did guess that there was more than one way to do it... forgot to mention that! I just did what google told me to do. It tells me it's time for breakfast now...
way hay! I did it. It took two attempts though... the Humax interprets an underscore as being after Z alphabetically rather than before A... ho hum, I now have a_usb0 at the top of the list!
Big big thanks, this kit (and you) rock!
quick guide for those who may stumble across this thread...
I think the one-liner in the Wiki shows how simple it is. :)
However, I'd still like to rename the mounted directory name so that it always appears at the top of the media list (like "A_USB" is a good bet! - and perhaps B_USB for the rear?). I would think if it is an automated script, I could...
Complicated... what are the steps?
ha ha, just kidding. Works a charm! I did read through all the packages the other week... there's so many of them that I think I started to drift off a bit! Many thanks :)
though..., Is it possible to rename the usb-drive1 directory name? I tried, but it no...
Ooh, really? How would one do that? I'm not particularly au-fait with linux, though mounting a USB drive is something I have done - though not really know what I'm doing, or specifically where the mount is.
It's something I'd like to give a go to though, with a spare drive. Would the box crap...
I think I know that this one is unlikely to ever happen as it's probably within Humax's code... but I'd ask anyway, and delete this if it's stupid.
Do you think it would be possible to have a media list that combines the internal program listing and an external USB drive in one list? It makes...
I did have, when I first noticed and tried to identify the problems with my old 9200T. However I only noticed anything really bad when the DVD player was on. I never played with the scart cable from the pvr. Subsequently have found issues with aerial set-up, which I sorted out when the T2 came...
back to the main thread problem...
I have a single coax lead from my aerial in the loft down to the humax box. I was having lots of problems of variable signal strengths and missed recordings when the coax went to a twin wall-plate to feed the pvr and the TV. The major thing I found was that...
I have spent the weekend playing with my humax. First I used Renumber to move my HD channels up to 21-24. After this, I logged into rs.hummypkg, and can confirm what other people are seeing that the epg data is still in the original numeric order, and the channel names are as per my renumbered...
Thanks all, I have put the custom firmware on, and using mediatomb as the media server I am able to access the usb hdd without additional packages. Way hay.
Now I have to learn about what I have just installed! tyvm :)
