Second what Black Hole says... works very nicely like that and accepted as "just working" by others in the house understanding they can skip, delete, know what was watched and do everything else regardless, much better than using content share.

Going back to the original question... short of human looking at output of a web cam pointed at the TV screen, transmission of the TV outputs from AV, RF or HDMI outputs to computer screen used along side the virtual remote control to see the TV interface remotely for feedback presumably there...

Thanks, having researched this tv afterwards it appears some other people had problems with only showing the first X files etc. but yes COULD be some issue with a file on the humax it was choking on I suppose, though it did play through DLNA on two other devices OK for all files on the Humax...
Currently have a HDR-FOX-T2 in lounge using the very helpful custom firmware and linked to a HD-FOX-T2 on second bedroom TV.... another TV using a little Cyclone media player shows Humax over DLNA fine.....
So, bought a Samsung 32" 5600 series TV with all the normal Smart features and it...
Same here. There was a re-tune needed being advertised for today. Clearly has auto re-tuned and lost the lot... having waited for slot between XBOX games to get on the Humax and re-tune here is running through now and the cutom firmware web-if will restore the schedules

Can you imagine what we could get if someone with the skill and enthuiasm the likes of af123 would be employed Humax etc. as opposed to their occasional bug fixer / introducer!
Are the video Codec and audio Codec entries 0 because those channels were off air at the time so had no video or audio associated with them, maybe different later - sounds like you removed most of the other part time channels?

Haven't fiddled with the HDR for good while since it has been stable so not kept up with version numberings... mis-interpreted that as being 1.03.xx
Already downloaded latest anyway to put on once inconvenient 1 hour recording finished and I'm allowed to tinker again.

Having perhaps stupidly just bought a Seagate Central 3Tb without checking which DNLA server it ran (hasty purchase with 5 year old helping) and read up after the event having had the crashes as soon as I plugged it in...
In theory this was to accumulate all the bits I've got on USB drives...
I have no idea whether it is or would be possible to "fake" a channel that is isn't broadcast but accessed locally but not sure what you are saying about MHEG, unless you mean the extensions for supporting internet sourced video - I just meant the text/graphic based pages.

The web-if makes an amazing difference to the Humax and managing all the recordings that will never be watched (220+ Home & Away's, dozens of Neighbours together with the thousands of kids programs etc...
So silly question but is there any technical reason why a fake MHEG based "channel"...
Mine works happily on several versions of Firefox in use here, IE, Chrome, Android and Firefox browsers on Android phone, Windows Mobile... have you got any add-ons in Firefox then that fiddle with the page like grease monkey etc?

Keeping out of it now but ... It was so long ago, in his first page of this thread he could communicate to portal and web interface, post #6. He was trying to make it quicker to communicate using a cable between two. Really.... just go and buy 3 home plugs, or 1 port and 3 port home plug, or 2...
