Please see all previous posts! If you run a network cable to your PC only then effectively you have two networks, they must use different IP address ranges as has been said many times before and then you can communicate from pc to humax but NOT from humax to the net. for Portal etc.

Homeplugs are effectively just a long ethernet cable / switch in one, i.e if you have 2,3,4 or whatver they can all communicate with each other. If one is connected to your router with a cable then it can communicate with anything else connected to your router, wirelessly or wired.
If you can...
On PC... if your internet connection is wireless then leave that be. Check out what IP address you get, e.g. 192.168.1.x and make sure you use a different range for the other card.
On PC wired network card, set: IP Address = 192.168.200.10, Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0, Gateway = empty or...
I know what you mean.... used to be a pain on old TV with the one HDMI input and a 3 way switch box which auto-switched like you say, though was just between HDR, blu-ray etc. so less of an issue otherwise I'd have gone manual too!
This one says "It will not switch automatically when two...
Well then there is interference from the cabling somewhere... try unpatching other things one by one, e.g. wifi routers, other video signals etc.
Also could be the scart to cat5 adapter. Try two adaptors, a cat5 patch cable into the back of tv perhaps...
Or if you want to get fancier and...
Agreed quite possibly PSU but also quite possible dodgy SCART cable or where it is routed next to etc... like Black Hole says a) show us what it is link, b) elimate possibilities, i.e. is it just HDR doing it, and does it do it with a different known good cable or input on the TV, or even a...
Surely only getting 'wavy' output if via an analogue output. Is this connected by SCART cable - is it horizontal lines, picture distorting, or what? If you have a HDR can you connect it with HDMI?
You can use any number of power link plugs... and multiple port ones. I have 4-5 1 port, a 4 port and a 3 port with wireless repeater in use at the moment....Not THAT keen on them as a concept but they do work well and more consistently than WiFi in my opinion. Mine are Zyxel.
Looking back I assume you have:
PC --> wifi --> router = 192.168.x.x, mask 255.255.255.0 DHCP from router
Humax --> wifi --> router = 192.168.x.x, mask 255.255.255.0 DHCP from router
PC --> cable <-- Humax. no DHCP server so device gets "automatic address"
If you do want this way then the...
169.254 is an auto-assigned "APIPA" address. Allocated to a network card if it is connected to something but there is no DHCP server, that would normally be your router.
So something is wrong. If that is a wireless card then it isn't properly connected so that it sees it is connected but...
I haven't seen this in a thread but sorry if I missed it.... they are going to repeat this OTA update again it seems... so watch out ... sadly it hasn#t been changed to a newer version and fix the EPG :-(

Interesting, I use Firefox to access mine too so hadn't noticed since IE11 updated. There did used to be a similar issue with the virtual remote on Firefox I think. Sadly as often with IE updates, IE11 breaks quite a few things... got customers having to stay on IE9 or a mixture of Chrome...
Personally if I was running a helpdesk / support line and people kept bugging me about an issue I'd make sure it was raised more and more with management until something was done. Several hundred open fault calls for an issue concentrates the priorities and minds.... or should do. I've never...
It probably is worth reporting to Humax to remind them.... I emailed them on their support addresss: uksupport @ humax online .co .uk without the spaces of course and got a reply from Louis, no doubt standard but allegedly:
"Dear Mr Knight,
Thank you for contacting Humax Support.
Apologies...
