2. Customised Firmware 2.10 (for 1.02.27)
  
  Clean install of .27 and cf 2.10 - no probs to report. :) Have a new TV coming at the weekend so hopefully that resolves the Humax 'wail of death' on poweroff, my only outstanding issue. I'm a bit worried as im getting another Philips!

  I have to appreciate the commitment to this one, for something that's really more of a visual novelty, you guys have stuck at it, whoot! I haven't installed as the humax is behind a screen now so no need for it, but bigup af123!!!

4. IR remote extender?
  
  Cool, I drilled holes at the bottom so no biggie to do a row at the top. There is a shelf in the middle so i'll maybe just put 3 rows of holes in so that the xbox wont feel left out. The cover will be off when xbox is in use as the wired turtle beach headphones live next to it and for the heat...

  Yeah I drilled a series of holes along the back - about 15 and 5 along the side with the biggest drill bit I had - Around a centimetre. Should do the trick.

  So the day the IR extender arrived, my wife accidentally pressed the change channel button on the remote while the screen was on, and it changed!!!! Fricking thing worked through the 2 layers of fabric.!! £10 wasted. That was a costly assumption. Might as well put the ir extender back on ebay!

  I also have 2 niggly HDMI issues but unsure if its my old Philips TV. If I turn the TV off but leave the humax on, when I turn the TV back on, it will have blank screen /no signal 4 times out of 5. Sometimes changing channel or changing Input on the TV will wake them up and send whatever hdmi...

  Won a Marmitek on ebay for £10 so not bad. I build a wooden frame and covered it with Fabric and used 5 magnetic catches to make this cover for the TV unit. Seems effective as the baby has ignored it completely since it went on :) Im no joiner but happy with how its turned out...

  I only have an old 720p set and the 720p setting looked off to me so i ended up using 1080i. yet my Xbox looks amazing at 720p on it. So who knows what they are at :)

  Just seen a tweet from Humax that Teletext Holidays app is launching on the HD & HDR Fox. Not that I'll use it but good to see they are still working on apps. Any sign of it yet?

  can you simply copy yr itunes media folder to the hummy and it'll recognise the id3 details and allow you to browse etc?

Customised Firmware 2.10 (for 1.02.27)
