      Hummy started to crash this morning

      I was able to get the box up long enough to run the System Flush update file. The box stays up now for approx. 2 mins. If it stays up long enough, I'll try reloading the firmware.

      Thanks. Pretty much tried all of that. I disconnected the HDD from the box and the unit still crashed after approx. 5 mins. I can try the fan but given that it crashed after only 5 mins or so at the start of the day (and the unit had been off over night) I doubt it's an over heating issue. Any...

      Hi, My Hummy crashed about an hour ago whilst I was watching a recording from last night. Now it won't stay up long enough for me to be able to do very much with it. It is running: Custom Firmware 2.22 Software version FHTCP 1.03.12 Loader Version a7.30 I tried a reset to default but it crashed...

      Ok, partial success in that most of the buttons on the virtual RC now work in IE and those that don't are ok in FF. I'm guessing the mimatch of modes played a part? Both are now showing Mode 1. Thanks for your help.

      I checked on the real remote and it's mode 1. I changed it on the virtual remote to be mode 1 too. No change. Still doesn't work. Does it require a reboot? When i go to the virtual remote, it does tell me correctly the channel the PVR is on so i guess some part of it is working.

      I see this on the console in IE9: SEC7115: :visited and :link styles can only differ by color. Some styles were not applied to :visited. remote.jim Does that mean anything to you?

      Hi, sorry for the delay in replying. I tried on a different laptop running XP and IE8. I am able to watch Standard Def files. So, there must be something about Windows 7 and/or IE9 that it doesn't like. The remote control doesn't work from either laptop. It's no biggie for me that it isn't...

      I don't see anything extra in the log (if that's what you mean). When i make a selection in the virtual RC i see the red beam image and in the History section I see the action: GUIDE (0x1b) but nothing happens on screen. Doing the same on the real RC works OK.

      I have VLC installed and that works outside of this scenario. Maybe I'm doing it wrong or expecting it to do something it shouldn't. This is what i do: 1) Goto Browse 2) Find a file 3) Click on the file name 4) In the pop up click Play I see this: VLC PlayerNow playing: /media/My...

      Hi, I intsalled the latest Custom Firmware yesterday. everything seemed to go OK but i am seeing a couple of issues. I see the same issue detailed in this post. None of the actions on the remote work. I tried doing what waas suggested in this thread but still the same. Any other ideas please...
