  Brian, Thanks for the reply, if I understand you correctly, I have just selected Channel 15 Film 4 & the message on screen is " No programmes are currently being shown on this channel" or words similar to this. Does this mean a channel problem?

  May I ask another silly question? Got the above screen message tonight & was asked to OK it or Cancel. Pressed Cancel & no problems But What caused the message? Is it a known occurrence?

  I strongly believe in continuous improvement, so what about this idea to Humax, if they do not already do it. The Humax Help Desk, I assume, keeps a log of Phone calls & e mails by problem type. So why not compile a “Top Ten” listing of problems encountered as FAQ's & publish these in in User...

  Have not looked recently but Panasonic were always the best in terms of Customer Experiance in User Manuals. Could be worth Humax looking to see if they could improve. Re the PDF version, yes I know it's available but it has the same information as the Manual supplied with the Product.

  Thanks, I will do that, but I also feel that the Users Manual is of very poor quality & Humax could learn a great deal by viewing the User Manuals of other companies products.

  When watching a recorded film I pressed the "Pause" button on remote. Got screen display of numbers in this format 19:55:52 & counting upwards. What is this? Do I have to take any action?

  The TV is a Sony KDL-V40A12U, it has 2 RCA connections on the back & has the ability to turn off the TV speakers, any idea if this will be OK? PS thanks for tip re Internet purchase

  Thanks to you both. We use the set up slightly differently. Generally we have the Humax turned on, but sometimes we do not, so I assume that the best connection is Soundbar to TV, correct? Also what is the point about Native sound, does it mean switching off the TV's internal speakers...
