@Philip Coles Not sure if you are aware already but on the subject of the Cat HDMI extenders, I should also have mentioned that you can get them with a loop out (so no extra splitter required, see HERE for example) and they can also simultaneously feed more than 1 remote TV if you run the cables...
If you only need it in one other location then I would go for the HDMI over LAN option as its comparatively cheap these days (around £35, see HERE for example) for the extender and will give you good picture quality. I would use Cat 6 cable as a minimum.
@af123 Just did a proper decryption test and its all looking good and quick! I just knocked up a vbscript file to search my NAS for encrypted files (which is why I was asking about HMT) and it looks like a have a lot more archived encrypted files than I anticipated so this utility should come in...
@af123 Pushing my luck a bit here I know, but I was wondering if there is a possibility that you could do same for the standalone HMT utility for us Windows users? If its too much hassle then don't bother but it would be a nice to have this one too...
I assume you are looking for 3DES functionality. I doubt that is built in but you could always get this via a 3rd party library (see HERE for example)

Yes its working perfectly on my Windows 10 PC. I don't actually record anything from the BBC channels on my PVR's any more and just use get_iplayer (via command line) for everything with a file of series ID's I maintain for anything I want to 'record'. One command then downloads everything new...
I have a HDHomeRun tuner here somewhere from their Kickstarter campaign and a Plex subscription, so I'll have to dig it out and have a play over the Xmas period!
@to max a humax Have you had a look at HFODU2? (see HERE) Your scenario is why I suggested a batch mode in the first place... You would need a lot of free space though as currently it does not overwrite the existing recordings.
I did come across a post on another forum from a DTR-T4000 user who was having stability issues and claimed to have cured them by removing the heatsink, applying new thermal paste and then re-seating it... Have you also tried taking the box to an alternate location (different aerial, leads, tv...
