Anyone noticed Netflix dropping out?
Never had this problem in three years until the last few weeks but halfway through watching Netflix just drops out to live TV. Attempts to get back in fails. Leave it for 30 minutes or so it restart the box gets back in
I've just scrapped my 4000 and bought a new 5000 and going to take that opportunity to complain about the lack of catch up services as advertised as features on the box. Might make them feel obligated to sort it out (just update the apps) although I'm guessing I'll just get the stock answer to...
Not sure what any of this has to do with me or HDD but I've never posted to 'hummy Arms', never even knew about it. But I'll be ignoring prpr whoever it is.
I've ordered a sata to pc lead so I can make sure the new drive is actually formatted before I return it. Don't suppose anyone knows the format for the HDD in terms of sector size? I couldn't find it on Google.
One thing I'm thinking. My HDD is failing because of a power out. I've since discovered that most 3.5 Sata drives have a separate power supply outside the ribbon connector, which makes me think this is where my problem lies.

My 3 year old fvp 4000 HDD kept dropping offline, total format and reset many times to no avail

My FVT 4000 HDD keeps going offline???
Recordings error out
All recordings disappear
Power down and back up brings it back online
It's happening several times a day
I took out the HDD and cleaned the terminals and put it back but no joy. Still keeps going off line
Everything else works, even my...
I haven't been able to access ITV hub and figured it was ITV. I feel like Humax have no further plans. Didn't seem to be any further support for the 4000/5000 and no news of a new box. I've been looking for a replacement but nothing much out there and certainly nothing with 3 tuners.
I'm also experiencing trouble with my 3 year old 4000 box, no guide information, retune fixed that, it stopped playing back recordings, reboot fixed that, now none of the HD channels have guide information???
My 4000 works fine on WiFi
I wonder whether the channel setup has anything to do with it, in which case might just be worth a retune to the correct TV region
Yeap. I've reported this myself several times on this forum "pause TV does not work" and "my 2 cents" it's never been acknowledged and always challenged. Pause TV simply does not work because as you have discovered, when the live broadcast ends you are unceremoniously dumped out of the chase...
Is you that are not reading or understanding. The OP and myself are not talking about recordings live programmes from beginning. Just about chase play. Press Pause, make Cup of tea, come back, resume play. Does not work, because when the live programme gets to the end, the playback exits to live...
