Originally, for Unix, the line terminator was defined as NL (newline) which has the same ASCII code as LF
Sometimes the problem with hard disks in a USB enclosure is the interfacing electronics.
In the last 6 months or so I've binned 3 enclosures, and still have the disks working happily in new enclosures.
It's really up to you whether you think it worth the time and effort to investigate this (I've...
I fail to comprehend this.
If you have freeview and freesat Humax recorders, you can watch and record either/both on just a simple monitor (I've been doing just that until recently) - why would you want the redundancy that a TV with both sorts of tuner affords in addition to the Humax boxes?
I do have plenty of space on the target drive, which is a £TB, but partitioned, drive.
I didn't look closely enough to determine whether the sidecar files were copied (but will do so).
Thanks to prpr and BH for the thoughts.
Since we've watched all the episodes, we agreed to copy the recordings to an externall HDD.
When the process had (apparently) completed (as indicated by the drive light stopping flashing) I unmounted the HDD from the WebIF, and thought no more about it, until I checked the folder the following...
That seems to be an attempt to avoid awkwardnesses, and I put it in the category of 'more likely to be offered by a youth'. When it does seem crass is offered on a 'formal' TV programme, and the like.
My normal response to handshaking is that I will return the form of greeting offered, but not...
I didn't get that email (yet?).
As one who has a trial web-site to give me a quick test for the real thing, I will also be affected.
I haven't done anything like fiddling the dl= (or whatever) to get the stuff visible as a web set of pages.
I've only just seen this thread.
My wife, who is Irish, would tell you that the region often referred to as Southern Ireland is, correctly, Republic of Ireland, and Eire is a historic label used (by the Irish) to describe the whole of Ireland.

I cannot give an exact quote - just that the network connection has failed or is disconnected.
Cannot be from the TV, as it is just a monitor with no other functionality.
I've run the flush pkg, reset the HDR-T2, reloaded the software, loaded my recordings schedule, and tried to fix some things which I had before which seemed different. Now it reports:
Web interface version: 1.3.0-6
Custom firmware version: 3.10 (build 2734)
Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel...
I could only guess that perhaps the playing of recorded programmes or films might get some sort of access to internet to get info.
Since this has only happened since I started getting problems from the router, I don't proprose to do any reset yet - I'm shortly going to reconfigure my local...
Just recently I've been gettting flurries of on-screen messages about the HDR-T2 disconnecting from the network. So far, these have always occurred when I have no reason to connect for information (as far as I know), being mainly while playing recordings on the box itself.
Is there any control...
I haven't heard of it either.
I think there was a clipboard, to which you could paste several items, and then recover them for pasting selectively.
This would have been XP (or earlier)
Just in case it helps:
The other day I plugged in a 2TB ddrive wth 3 partitions, one of them NTFS.
All were accessible for read//write.
Later I unmounted the partitions from the webif, and unplugged the drive.
Still later I plugged in the drive and couldn't access the NTFS partition.
I put the...
