Hmm. I don't think I have any auto-processing functions selected, but I've blocked out the period from 6am to 1am anyway, as well preventing any auto-processing while a recording is in progress.
OK, have now completed an autotune with the tunefix tweaks and this is what I have:
I'll monitor the recording situation and see if it changes at all over the next few days.
I did fully dismantle and re-assemble my complete TV setup a few months back (we were having a new floor laid), and I...
OK, just autotuned and selected Highlands & Islands and got this:
Not entirely sure what I've learned from this TBH!
However, it looks autotune simply can't find COM4 from Craigkelly, but picks it up from Black Hill fine. Odd, but I think I'll try allowing tunefix to keep channel 41, since...
Well now this is interesting. Here is the multiplex listing after doing an autotune, but before rebooting to allow tunefix to do its work:
COM4 on channel 42 isn't there! The box has picked COM4 on channel 41, which is the one from Black Hill. I wonder if this is to do with the box asking...
Ah, good spot. It never occurred to me that a whole mux might go AWOL. It's not on the list of muxes to ignore in /mod/boot/tunefix.conf. I'll have a go at tuning it manually; if that works then I'll try another autotune and see if it goes missing again.
UPDATE - tuned it in manually no...
I edited /mod/boot/tunefix.conf and that seemed to keep the Black Hill muxes out. I did have a mild panic after the autotune because there were lots of channels that I thought should have been excluded, and my favourites list was gone. However, all was put to rights following a reboot - I...
Looks OK to me (I didn't bother doing the IP address ping since the DNS name ping worked fine):
humax# ip addr
1: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP8000> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 1000...
OK, I have tunefix (and boot-settings) installed via USB. No idea why I'm having the problem with the Humax accessing the repository. Is it at the same URL that the .opks are downloaded from via a browser?
Now to read up a bit more on tunefix...
Ah yes, that would be it. I've deleted that, but now I can't install tunefix. I'm getting this error:
!! ERROR - No network connectivity to package repository !!
Check your Internet connection and DNS service and then try again.
Bother.
It's STV, but for Glasgow. (I think we get...
Hmm, I'm still not sure that I understand tunefix. I thought I had it installed but now it appears that I don't. I'm pretty sure that I have something that deletes unwanted channels, but it's not tunefix AFAICS.
I shall do some more reading up on tunefix and see if it might be of use to me...
Er, OK. AFAICR I have tunefix installed, but I'm not sure how it would help in this case.
Anyway, these results suggest that there's nothing obviously wrong on the box itself. Which actually isn't bad considering it's coming up to seven years old.
Looks like I'll have to do so more...
Ok, here it is:
Is this OK? We certainly weren't watching anything on COM5 at the time. I'm a bit confused why nothing is showing against any of the other muxes.
Thanks, Ezra.
I ran it using the diskattr command as suggsted by Black Hole. Output follows:

The TV doesn't have an HD tuner. We haven't noticed the problem watching live TV through the Humax. But then, we don't tend to watch programmes live simultaneously with them being recorded.
It's odd. All but one of the recordings of Springwatch from last week (we were on holiday abroad) were...
We've been experiencing a problem with recordings from BBC HD channels suffering from picture freeze/skipping accompanied by audio drop-out for some time now. For a while it was a reasonably rare, brief and tolerable annoyance but recently it's become a lot worse. Poldark recorded last Sunday...
Thank you, that seemed to do the trick! (It was the unc option that got it working. I was already in the media/My Video directory and had created the MediaShare folder.)
I am having a similar problem. My command line to the Humax is:
mount -t cifs //192.168.0.nnn/Video/ MediaShare -o username=xxxxx,password=xxxxx
mount: mounting //192.168.0.nnn/Video/ on MediaShare failed: No such device or address
MediaShare is a directory in 'My Video' created using mkdir...
