Thanks, I will try these suggestions.
I replaced the hard drive after the original failed a while ago, this wouldn't be anything to do with it would it?
I keep getting a repeat notification of a failed recording. the date: 20210721_0040.
I have temporally stopped it by turning off the notifications. How can I stop this happening so I can turn the notifications back on for genuine failed recordings.
Thanks, in anticipation of a solution.
Well, I tried my spare TV and the Humax worked fine. Thanks "Black Hole" for suggesting that. The sound was okay so the problem must be with my main TV.
I reconnected the Humax to my main TV and of cause no sound if the phono plugs were disconnected.
Obviously, something as gone wrong with the...
Well, that's not an option after all. I thought we were onto something there.
Anyway, thanks to you all for your help. I still have the other TV to connect it to, to see if it works with that.
I will go through all TV menu settings to see if there are any options regarding HDMI. When I found the sound wasn't working on the Fox HDR I tried the various options mentioned in my first post. The last thing I tried was the phono plugs and found that worked. I didn't alter anything in the...
Okay I will try again. I am finding it harder to explain than I thought, sorry for that!
Even though "Black Hole" doesn't understand I am receiving sound when connected to the HDMI port and getting the picture from there. the sound is coming from the phono plugs. If I remove the 2 phono plugs...
Just to make things clear. I mentioned component connection and I meant to say the A\V connection. I don't know if this makes a difference but if it does, I'm sorry.
I have 4 HDMI, 1 A|V and 1 component connections. The last two take the coloured plugs.
I can access the box either though the A\V...
There doesn't seem to be any adjustments on the HDMI inputs. The TV is the same one I was using when it was previously working.
I have checked the HDMI input with other STBs I have and they all have sound.
I do have a spare TV. Thats a good idea I never thought to do that. I will try that out...
Thanks for the quick reply.
The sound volume is at "20"
I will check that particular socket but there was still no sound when I swapped the cable to another one of the sockets.
Digital Audio Output is set to "stereo"
Not having used the HDR-Fox 2 for a couple of weeks I noticed when I did access it that there was no sound.
I have tried swapping the HDMI cable for another one. I have tried another HDMI socket with no luck.
I checked the TV for any problems and all the over inputs I have work fine, Virgin box...
I would just like to say a big thank you to "af123" and "rowanmoor" for developing this package. The final version 101 is now enabling me to access the Humax on all my devices and of cause as stopped the Humax crashing which was the big bugbear.
I can even play content recorded on the Humax via...
Yes I mainly use Media House and Dlna Player (Android). If there better apps available please let me know.
That sounds okay because I can use the TV to access the NAS contents where before I used the Humax. Thanks for your time and effort.
I have a Samsung Smart TV, a Samsung Tab 2 and a Galaxy Phone all can not see the Humax. I want to access content I placed on it on these devices.
Before installing the package with content share on I was able to do this, but of cause the Humax crashed mainly when turning it on, but also using...
I also have a nsa310 media server and installed the package to the Humax and turned content share back on.
The Humax as now stopped crashing every time in starts. But I still can not see the Humax on the network.
I am assuming that this package is not intended for that purpose just to stop the...
Thanks Black Hole that's helpful.
I have lost the connection to my Tablet and Phone but I can live with that. Hardly use them to connect to the Humax anyway just to connect to the NAS and the custom software is ideal to connect the Humax to the computer. I just needed to stop the constant...
I feel a bit of a fool by not realising that I did not need to have "content share" on to enable me to access my NAS on the Humax. I have up till now thought it needed to be turned on to see the NAS.
I have had the Humax crashing lately but not completely restarting only going into standby. So...
Since my original post here, I found new firmware was available for my NAS and with it a new version of Twonky (7.2.6-1) so installed it and wished I hadn't because the Humax HDR T2 as reverted back to crashing again. (See first post) I downgraded Twonky to the earlier version but to no avail...
