iplhack was already installed.
For me, I only found this thread through looking for iPlayer problem. If this information was moved elsewhere, would other "non-experts" like me, find it?
With respect to CFW 3.10 against 3.13, multiple attempts to run iPlayer on 3.10 failed but it ran first...
SUCCESS :)
I downloaded and installed the latest firmware (Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.13) ) as verified by the webif Diagnostics panel and started the TV Portal, loaded I-Player and it runs.
My philosophy is "let sleeping dogs lie" or "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" So...
So, I've tried all that and still no joy.
Maybe it takes a few days to cook.
EDIT:
I just noticed my Humax Version is: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.10) whereas it seems the latest version may be (IS): HDR_FOX_T2_1.03.12_mod_3.13
Will this make a difference??
Thank you Luke, you've got me right, that's exactly what I needed. I was hoping to say BRILLIANT, but it does not seem to have worked.
First I installed the upgraded webif package 1.4.8-8. This gave me many more packages and I was able to install opkg-beta. I then found the iplhack package...
Hello people.
I'm a sometimes user of this forum which has enabled me to solve problems with my Humax HDR-Fox T2 in the past, thank you very much.
I have been trying to use the BBC I-player through the TV Portal for a few weeks and getting the BBC message that there is a problem, they are...
...... OH, and turning off the Show development and advance packages cleared up the list of installed packages and also revised the Diagnostics page.
So I think I'm sorted now, thanks for all the help and advices. :)
Thanks BH. I'm afraid it takes me a while to get my brain around your instructions.
Yes, clearly I have the Webif running but from the installation instructions for the 3.10 CF I thought there was an upgraded Webif to install. So I'm wrong again :(
Then it took me a while to figure your...
Thank you once again BH. Your full explanation is excellent.
I installed the 1.03.12 version and it is working fine. I use the functions to prevent crashing due to my NAS and preventing ota updates. I sometimes use the TV Portal too.
I don't know if I screwed up the end part of the CF...
Thanks but,
I'm afraid I don't find it that useful.
It seems that the CF chosen has differing effects depending on the underlying original Humax firmware. Is that correct?
The reason I don't find this helpful is because I do not remember what my original Humax firmware version was. I bought...
Thanks very much BH
Very helpful as usual. So the top one is the one I need though I cannot now remember which is my original Humax version. I think it was 1.03.12
Very sorry BH, my stupidity - I didn't get past the VLC. I now know.
Can I ask some more, hopefully not too stupid questions pls? The help I get on here is much appreciated because as I implied, I'm no expert and prefer to avoid mistakes which make correction difficult, particularly when it...
VLC? what's that ?
Win10? Not B**** likely!! :whistling: I will stick with Win7 Pro till this machine dies :)
It's a first time for the lockup but I seem to remember my last one started doing that before it died :(
Last evening I recorded a couple of programs and was then watching normal TV (with HDR-Fox turned on) when the Fox stopped working. It sat with the blue lighted on/off button but would not do anything via the remote and would not switch off via the front button. I have been running it on CF...
Thank you Martin and BH.
Very helpful and much appreciated. I did not get to find your post yesterday, BH, but that link is a very clear and straight forward explanation. Thanks vey much.

I had not got the hang of using the + Quote and Reply links in each post. I was clicking on the + Quote link and thought the quote would appear when I clicked IN the Reply box to type  Now I have got it
Thank you Martin. I think the latter is what I have done. Seems to...
I think you did not take in the first line of my post. It's not simple to me.
I go into my router and alter the pool size (I think??) setting it to max value say, .100, then set the NAS IP to .101 and it tells me this is an illegal value. But I can use .101 if the pool upper limit is set back...
Well, these posts since my last post have me slightly bamboozled  (being not sufficiently educated in these matters :whistling: )
Could you clarify the odd points :
Can I set the IP address for my HDR-Fox T2 within the unit itself, presumably using the WebIf? Such that it becomes a...
The Netgear router has an option to reserve addresses so I have set it to reserve both the NAS and Hummy addresses. I don't have that many devices connected and the Hummy is at .14 so hopefully this won't he allocated to something else now. :whistling:
