If they include it, I hope there is a switch to turn if off. For years I have been getting emails telling me I have failed recordings, every day I used to get them until I finally got around the deleting the offending recording. I enabled it thinking it was a good idea - soon regretted it.
So this program is good, I wonder if I can use it to retrospectively remove adds from recordings that have been moved over to my NAS and subsequently deleted from the Humax.
Ideally It would do this overnight and work directly from the NAS - as I have lots of programmes, that said if its going...
I should have perhaps taken a screen shot, just loads of output text scrolled up the screen. Did not understand any of it, but was a welcome site compared to the 3 lines of error text it gave me before the box took an update.
Point being that it magically worked for me, and all I needed to do...
Just to say, that since last night its started to work. Before when I tried it spewed some error or another, nothing ever showed up in the log. So - hey ho that's life.
Today I am welcomed telling me its been updated, so I think what the hell I will give it another go, and boom loads of text...
Yeah I read that, not got around to playing with it yet. Small steps for a small mind :) Not even sure how to say abduco, make you wonder why they name things like that. lol
Best I have done is to open multiple instances of the webif cli and had it download multiple videos at once. That worked ok, still have to leave the windows open and still had to use the CLI, :(
No sorry, I installed it on my PC - its a chrome plug in, that communicates with my qnap NAS, and it does the downloading. Its available [the server bit] for Arm and intel. I figured there might be a long standing security problem with it - hence I mentioned I was using it.
The fact the plug...
I can't answer any of those questions, I'll just plant the seed and see what grows. I know nothing about programming - hell I found following the youtube instruction thread hard enough.
To be fair that's what I did anyway. I thought it was the correct procedure ? Lets face it I am not likely to understand any logs it shows up. I would generationally just ignore it. Power users might find the logs of use, I see them as gobbledegook.
Yeah most likely it did, I used to just ignore it but since BH, explained what to do, I have found that the fix flash job did find problems and fixed them. Would be nice if there was a little button to press at the side of the error that you can push to do the check.
As a noob, and my attitude...
Yeah I understand that now. I am glad you have now after your explanation. I have made corrections to my posts in an attempt to correct any future misunderstandings. I guess things could have been made clearer by all sides. Still might make someone smile if it ever gets read. Piece Dude !
True, then again I regard the PVR is regarded more of an appliance than a computer, there is more then me uses it in the household. Now't wrong with making it a little easier ?
It would not suprise me if I had posted this in the wrong section, I am getting better thoug - I did not realise there were so many closly named devices - I need to slow down a bit.
I have installed the youtube_dl package, and I actually got it to work.... Do you think eventually it will be a...
Well I got it to work, not an easy feat for me, I used this command youtube https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07c6fjk/louis-theroux-a-different-brain#
When the video is played back on my box, the picture flickers - stutters. Is there anything I can do about it.
Here is the output of the...
