No. I manually reinstalled the transportx package, but had to do something else first before I could do this (maybe remove all packages). Interestingly, recent crashes haven't disabled the package.

Back in November 2023 I installed CF 1.03.12 - 3.13 on our HDR-FOX T2. In practice, I've not made much use of it, although the ability to single-step frames with the transportx package has been a very useful feature.
Prior to this, and after almost ten years on 1.03.12, the only issue we'd...
There's a risk of damage to the board with cutting, in particular you may lift tracks - which is really bad news. Provided the soldering iron is intended for electronics work and is 25W min (say 50W max) you would be better desoldering. Some skill is required, but you say you've had some...
My old S-VHS machine's remote had a jog/shuttle wheel and transportx goes some way to duplicating its functionality. Using it I determined the panning shot (see original post) lasts 145 frames, all different except: 12=13; 37=38; 62=63; 87=88; 112=113; 137=138. So that confirms original 24fps...
Sorry - I took your post #18 at face value without realising I had to decrypt first. (I managed to find the download option ok.) Thanks for all the steers on finding info - and for that TLA (a new one on me)! Your patience is appreciated and, no, I didn't do something else - just did as I was...
Yep, that worked fine - complete TS file is 1.18GB. No NTS or THM file this time, though; is their purpose explained somewhere? Unfortunately Windows Media Player won't play, and the Promax TS analyser software doesn't like it.
Well, that was easy. In light of:
and the fact that I couldn't copy the 959,520KB TS file due to a file-corrupted warning, I tried copying the programme to the USB stick again. PVR still said "Copying" after 30 minutes. Left for another 75 minutes (while I had a nap) and still saying...
Chewing this over with other members of the BBC Engineering Facebook group, it's likely we've identified the problem with the programme, namely production at 24fps and then poor conversion to 25fps. Idle curiosity led me to wonder what examining the transport stream might reveal, which is why I...
The problem, I think, lies with the production company - Regency Productions. The Heritage Chart Show is presented by Mike Read whose outfit it is (and he's obviously well-connected with the Cronins who run TPTV). The show has worldwide distribution (and an American sponsor) so that might...
The Humax seemingly took ages to copy the programme to a FAT32 USB stick, so I used the hidden menu to force an eject. So now I have:
Does that look right? I found this promising tool...
That's a "yes" then. Nothing is difficult if you know how; I need to check what file type a recorded programme is; that it copies to a USB stick ok; and that it can be examined by a suitable software tool. Can you recommend the latter?
If the broadcaster did their job right, I wouldn't have...
I've e-mailed TPTV, Regency Productions and the "technical sponsor" re a bugbear of mine - jerky motion on The Heritage Chart Show:
I appreciate many of the low-budget videos featured are a bit “iffy” technically – but that clearly doesn’t apply to the beautifully-crafted Now and Then video...
More crash evidence. Yesterday I removed our new TV from its stand unplugging, at the TV, the HDMI from the in-standby PVR. After punching a 1.25" dia hole in the stand's upright to facilitate cable management (1.6mm steel - hard work!) the PVR was subsequently reconnected and taken out of...
I haven't yet tried the current beta as using fixed WiFi channel 6 has not caused any problems - and I'm still investigating occasional crashes as per https://hummy.tv/forum/threads/two-problems-while-trialling-cf-1-03-12-on-hdr-fox-t2.11098/
Well they did - but their version yielded the same 0621... SHA1 hash that the first download at https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/FIRMWARE/Humax/Humax-HDR-Fox-T2-Freeview-plus-Digital-Recorder-Firmware-10312.shtml#download did!
