Hi BMAX
I attached an ‘outside’ temperature probe to the HDD in my PC and noticed when it powered down, the HDD temperature would rise very quickly before gradually go down again.
I believe the same is happening to the Humax HDD but have not attached an ‘outside’ temperature probe to prove it.
Thanks for the info af123.
I'm just looking at the various Power Management options (page 53 in the User Manual).
If you haven't already, maybe worth a quick look to see if any of them could be 'modified' to power the fan in standby.
Interesting suggestions.
IIRC, my Humax 9300T's fan run on for a while after going into standby.
Black Hole, if everything turns off (in standby) where is the Orange 'standby' light getting it's power from?
Hi af123
As CFW v2.19 enables the fan in maintenance mode, does this mean it would be possible to enable the fan in Standby mode?
Just thinking, if so, could the already excellent Fan control package have an option to keep the fan running for a set time (if possible, selectable) after going...
Hi Black Hole and Ezra Pound.
Thank you for replying.
I followed the upgrade path link provided by Ezra and only installed HDR_FOX_T2_1.02.32_mod_2.19 and all appears to be working fine.
So, for anyone interested, it is possible to simply install 2.19 over 2.15.
Thank you both for your help.
Hi all
Just checking, going from Humax T2 1.02.29 with mod 2.15:-
Run prepare_for_upgrade diagnostic
Install HDR-FOX T2_1.02.32
Then install HDR_FOX_T2_1.02.32_mod_2.19
Will that keep all my settings?
In future will I only need to:-
Run prepare_for_upgrade diagnostic
Then...
Hi all
For those interested, at 50% I’m getting Ambient + 17c (22c + 17c = 39c).
At 40% it’s Ambient + 21c (22c + 21c = 43c).
IMO, no point keeping it ‘artificially’ too low as the temperature will only rise more when the Humax goes into standby.
May try 35% as, IMO, cool, quiet and...
Hi af123
I asked about the possibility controlling the fan sometime ago and at that time it was thought not to be possible.
So just wanted to say a big 'thank you' for the Fan Package.
Hi Kev
I asked about controlling the fan speed a while ago.
In the meantime, I have taken the back screws, holding the top in place, out and used a plastic peg to lift the back of the top (approx. 2.5 cm) to let the warm/hot air out.
It works for me with an open shelf but if your Humax is...
Thanks Ezra Pound.
Now ok.
Made note to self ' mongoose must be set to auto start'
I do use betaftpd some times but do not auto start . Does it use up much resource to run?
If not I could also auto start it.
Managed to 'service start mongoose' via telnet and working fine now.
Thanks to Black Hole http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/webif-and-flatten-problems.3581/
Hi all
Was working fine yesterday but I did some 'tidying up' of Services and may have gone too far.
Do I need to reinstall or is there another way?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your reply Ezra Pound.
Redring.log I understand but maybe a file size limit then overwrite would be good.
Other logs, maybe file size limit then overwrite and/or default 30 days, with choice of up to 30 days, would be good.
Just a suggestion and all IMO.
What do other members...
Hi all
I have searched but can't find anything about log files maintenance.
Do I need to use 'clear' from time to time or do the files overwrite when they get to a certain size?
Also, can I set the file size?
Thanks for your help.
Hi prpr
Yes and No.
Yes, those recorded on my old Humax PVR 9300T.
No, those recorded on my Humax HDR Fox-T2.
I read in the AV2HDR-T2 help file that Video files with AAC Audio would not work but just in case I had misread/misunderstood I tried a test file and when played back there was...
Hi Black Hole and brian
I downloaded the file from http://myhumax.org/blog/?page_id=166 and much better to use.
Works great with some files but does not work with AAC audio so will leave as they are.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and of course thank you raydon for making...
