I've installed the new firmware again
This time I removed 'auto scheduled restore' before doing a factory reset.
I've now started repopulating the schedule myself.
If the EPG went at speed level '10' with the old firmware, and '4' with the new firmware without a reset, it is now going about...
I'll give it a go in a bit.
I also have auto-restore for the schedule, I wonder if that is just restoring what the factory reset is getting rid of.
Have to say I will not tolerate any delay compared to what I have now, so I may be a bad tester.
Tried a Factory rest, but as slow as before, well at least unbearable.
So back to the older version.
Thanks though, maybe this info will lead to a fix.
I've an old GB unit with the new 1.03.06 CF 2.19 on it.
I'm finding the slow on-screen EPG so bad I'm thinking of downgrading.
Shame I like the iplayer.
Maybe Humax will get make a new one soon :hungry:
Not quite.
It would allow it to turn on for a recording for a hour with no fan, but expecting temp rises would aim to avoid high temp by turning the fan on after a set time.
Anyhow I'm a happy either way, or is that, the more I get the more I want :frantic:
Thanks for this.
I'd like to be able to use the box with no fan for the first hour or so. Unless of cause it's needed. Be nice to be able to set the length of time from start-up to wait until it overrides the fan.
That would be the best of both worlds. :)
Sorry if I'm missing something obvious. But this code above does not seem to delete the folder where the filed file came from, leaving empty folders.
Is there a command I'm missing?
Thanks
Unless I'm wrong, the reason I end up with empty folders is because [series filer] does not move all system files. As after I've played a file and then [series filer] moves it, it then leaves an empty folder; if unwatched it deletes the folder.
I'm guessing it because a file is created when you...
Any chance we could get tidy-folders added to the list of packages?
Or for me even better would be to release a 2nd version of series filer that moved all files.
Thanks though I thought I had seen it before. Guess it 'cause I need to telnet to install is why I left it first time.
I've been trying to find a package that removes empty folders from \videos. I' sure there was one??

I just renamed them.
I guess this shows that de-dup only checks file name not recording title. Not really a problems as they are normally in sync.
Not having a few files in sync has shown me that the Web-IF uses the file name, while the browser on the TV uses the recording title.
Thanks for...
Thanks Ezra.
All the file names are changed but the recording title remains the same.
Hope that helps make it clear. It's not major, could just fix the few manually just not sure why it's happened.
Thanks:)
Hope all is well.
I have noticed some files which the Web-IF gives as having a title as it would be if the De-dup had worked. Yet the original browser on the TV gives the old tiles and when I click on the file in Web-IF it also gives the original title. If I try to run de-dup manually it...
I got no such file or directory.
Yes I 'cd /mod' and then 'ls' and /tmp is not there.
Yes it passes all the tests in the general diagnostic.
So I 'mkdir /mod/tmp' then I run '/mod/webif/lib/bin/auto' and that seemed to work.
Maybe it'll run by it's self now.
Thanks for all the help.
Thanks tried that but it did not help.
humax# tail -f /mod/tmp/auto.log &
Got no such file or directory (I had removed the log file from the WebIF)
