I knew I'd resurrected a year old thread.. @/df . If I was looking to automate the custom firmware I'd need to know how to authenticate these request to the .jim . It seems not with Basic Auth so was wondering how to negotiate so I could build the requests in Postman.
Thanks, I use Kodi as MythTV frontend on my Sony Android TV.
I wasn't aware there were any other solid multi-tuner options to install on the laptop. I have however always liked MythTV's recording setup. They'll have to go some way to impress, lets's see
Thanks I'll check that out . As though T2 seems to succeed with series data where MythTV fails I feel there's more to it and @Black Hole 's comment about encryption suggests is there may be more robust data not in plain text?
TBH I just don't like them. I almost can't remember why but what I saw was more clunky and compared to T2 with all your CF functionality I don't think they compare well.
It is dying, physically.
It's not something I'm against but the best offering has a trial period which failed to grab a lot...
Thanks. I have been researching this a few months :)
It seems nobody is maintaining UK EIT, and the mode is to head off for online grabbers, which themselves have put up paywalls.
Like I suggest I may pick up the MythTV code for this but EIT looks complex and if anyone here has an idea...
Sure this is a very cheeky question, The Humax Fox-T2 rocks but I might soon be offering mine to the community. It will be a sad day. Still the nicest smoothest TV Guide interface I have.
Before Humax I was running MythTV, and it was good, if not a bit lame on the interface. I fired one up...
Hi
Something broke in my file browser. Any folder stops output a the first recording. (see image) the folder has more valid recordings all of which will playback without complaint. It's not a UI problem, the response HTML just stops at the after the (in this case) [SD] image. If the...
It's not great. But that's where I am with the EPG - press record and go.
Using sweeper wasn't as straight forward as I thought but I show-horned a solution with sweeper and nicesplice as suggested. It needed sweeper on the source folder AND the /[edit]/[join]/ folders: section2, done and...
I'm not sure this is the same thing. Forgive me if I'm wrong
Currently I have the Movie recorded as two files. The first stops at the News item and the second starting when the Movie returns.
I'm not bothered about removing scraps of adverts or whatever, I don't remove adverts anyway as it's...
OK. thanks for that.
What if I could join any similarly named genre:Movie file
Movie_Name_[date1]_[time1]
Movie_Name_[date2]_[time2]
Where date2_time2 is less than say 5 hours later than date1-time1 or the date times differ
I wouldn't have two similarly named movie files in the base folder...
I have searched and tried but I can't find a way to Auto-Join a split recording.
I believe movie recordings that are interrupted by.. say the news.. are marked with a linked icon. Is there a way in sweeper to target these files and join them?
Indeed. It would have been helpful to me to remember it too :) My home network is complicated; I forget what I've done most of the time.
I didn't twig that the fixed IP addresses they were on would work without the router. I assumed (doh!) they were both on the router network. If they...
Thanks everyone.
The two Humaxes were on ethernet over mains and so were still connected regardless of router status. The cable from router to mains network was dodgy.
@MartinLiddle : no it's just not reachable from any device / any OS
@Black Hole: switched off but no luck
I'm going to try a full network power-down at a convenient time.
