  One solution to that problem would be to use the money you saved by buying the smallest capacity PVR and buy a cheap NAS. Then copy the recordings off the box to the NAS where you can control the file structure. Admittedly not a great solution if you mainly record in HD although it is possible...

  I think you want the last option in the settings "Remotes and accessories" which opens a Bluetooth pairing screen. Please let us know how you get on.

  I don't know if this is your issue but the first press of the arrow brings up the timeline, it is the subsequent presses that move along the timeline.

  I don't see the same behaviour, for me after jumping and setting a recording, pressing the back button takes me back to the guide with the highlight over the recording I have just set. Depends how far you want to jump; for my usage I like the way the Aura does this.

  The Aura will do an automatic reboot every 4 days. To do one manually, put the box in standby, wait for the hard drive to stop spinning, turnoff the power supply, wait 20 seconds and then turn on the power again.

  I can't guarantee that you won't lose the schedule of recordings but when I did a recent autotune on my Aura I was pleasantly surprised to find the schedule of recordings intact. You can also save the User Preferences in Freeview Play Preferences (including recording schedule and favourites)...

A little irritation

I don't see the same behaviour, for me after jumping and setting a recording, pressing the back button takes me back to the guide with the highlight over the recording I have just set. Depends how far you want to jump; for my usage I like the way the Aura does this.
