I want to do this I really do but I have two issues I need to get past first. I've been pressing the record button twice and then adjusting the record time down to 10 mins which seems to be the minimum. I've just discovered I can add a 1 min recording to the scheduled list. Yes of course thank you. The last recording I did was only 10 minutes long and W10 says it's 1,327,296KB. Approx 30% of the disc is used and the free sapce is reported as being 603GB. Bob.- mightyoakbob

That makes a lot of sense. I can see that. I'm probably wrong but I was under the impression that SD recordings on the Humax were not encrypted by the Humax but this recording is encrypted. Thanks Bob.- mightyoakbob

Thank you for the information. I've looked at the logs and found that the two logs auto.xxx had no entries since march. the auto log without a "." shows objects being queued for decryption but no other inormation. Worth a try though thanks. Cheers, Bob.- mightyoakbob

Well yes, I'm not aware of any other "source box" with Q in the name. :) I have answered someone elses question on modulator detail I hope that answers your question if not, come back to me. Not a problem. Sky Q only has an HDMI output. No analogue and certainly no modulator. I take the HDMI output from the Sky box and pass it thru a two way spitter. One output goes to the HDMI input on the TV and the other into a modulator like this one though I didn't pay that much for it. :) It...- mightyoakbob

Yes, I am most definately trying to decrypt a recording made on the HDR Fox T2 from UHF. I works manually but not automatically. Upgraded Samba package and now - can't connect.
Interesting thanks. I've made a note of that. Nano is a 'last resort' for me but has got me there a few times in the past. Must admit I do find it 'orrible but useful. Now I have smb access to most places I can edit files using my favourite editor, StrongED. Thanks. Bob.- mightyoakbob

Upgraded Samba package and now - can't connect.
Thanks. I've done that and now have this running. Using it I modified smb.conf so it now also shares the 'mod' folder. That means I now have very easy access to most of the system should I ever need it. Thanks again. Bob.- mightyoakbob

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what I'm seeing but it seems that with this new Samba on the Humax my SMB1 only computer can connect to the Humax fine and now to my surprise, so can my W10 pc.
