I have also noticed that a couple of my packages have stopped working properly. "Fan" and "undelete".
Is there a way of recovering these packages without resetting the whole of CW? I tried just uninstalling a reinstalling those packages but no luck.
I noticed that all my settings for the two...
I thought a popular theory for the cause of phantom lockups was DLNA traffic on your home network?
Added anything recently that could be causing mischief?
Are Humax still sending out reconditioned HDR Fox T2s? I would assume that even if there were boxes still under warranty (previously reconditioned?) that they would now be replaced by an upgraded unit?
I suspect that they are hoping that around 100,000 people like me are going to upgrade their aerials themselves.
Its actually quite a clever ploy putting COM7 and COM8 right down at channels 31 and 37. Not enough mainstream channels to cause a fuss but enough to push a few people to upgrade...
Yeah I'm sure that my current fix to receive CH31 and 37 is a wideband aerial - I'm just surprised to find that if current plans come to fruition I and everybody else in my area will be forced down that route to receive anything.
Excellent work finding those articles Luke. I can only assume...
Moving target indeed. I'm not sure what the long term plan is for people who have C/D group aerials if they do stop broadcasting freeview at 700mhz as the range for these aerials is 690mhz and up?
Wide band aerials apparently are more likely to pick up interference from 4g masts (makes sense I...
I knew about the 4g problem. Channels in my area have already been moved around to cater for that. I thought the statement above was indicating further upheaval which might end up making C/D aerials redundant.
I do apologise profusely.
I didn't realise that they were going to clear 700mhz for...
I assume its a Group C/D
Just looked at the chart here http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/help_and_advice/reception_guide and that would explain why im not getting COM7&8 as they are on channels 31&37 - nowhere near Group C/D range!
Also, only just become aware of this....
Upcoming changes to...
Thanks for all your help guys but looks as though it was just something funky with the transmitter because I've manage to re-tune channel 59 and quality level is back to normal - no duplicates.
No Com 7 or 8 still - might be time to buy a wide band aerial...
I started and stopped an automatic scan - clearing all channels.
I'll check for sure later but I suspect that if I were to just tune channel 59 it would place all the stations in that mux >799
I had a quick look online and there is apparently planned maintenance on winter hill this week so...
Hi All,
Anybody else on the Winter Hill transmitter having signal issues?
I wasn't receiving itv4 (one of the stations on mux 59) so I did an auto retune. Never had issues with "800s" channels before but after the retune all the stations on mux 59 moved to 800-810. I checked the signal strenth...
And on my PC using internet explorer. The plot thickens - your not using "edge" are you blackhole??
As for the actual topic. I'm more surprised that the OP has gone 5years without any HDMI handshaking issues! I think that its one area that the HDR-fox T2 does struggle with more than other HDMI...
I actually tried the laptop cooler method a while back before the fan package was released and the cooling results were pretty good but my cheap and nasty cooler wasn't the quietest and I was glad of the fan package when it was made available - probably my favorite package.
In terms of which...
It would need to have remote recording and a full selection of 3rd party streaming video apps for me to ditch my hdr fox t2 - but it has got my attention...
It seems like half the series I record nowadays start with "The" for some reason.
Is there a set of sweeper rules I could use to rename the series folders so that the "the" is at the end? I.e. " Missing, The" instead of "The Missing"? I would find it more intuitive when scrolling through series...
