My HDR has randomly started rebooting itself and very occasionally locks up but it started after I installed the 1.17 firmware but before installing Automount. There appears to be no particular pattern at the moment and it may just be that the hardware is on its way out.

If you copy a file using Webif from the HDR to say a NAS box does the file go direct or via the PC running Webif?
If it goes direct what happens if the Webif link goes down?
The reason I ask is that there is a 100Mbps link between my HDR and NAS box but only an irregular WiFi link to the PC...
On first install the machine locked up but a hard re-boot fixed that. Since then I have created three separate shares on my NAS box for Videos, Music and Photos and it all works perfectly. I have done several soft re-boots to see if it remains stable and it does. Well done Drutt :) !!
