Fox T2 wifi solution?
Hi, Can anyone tell me if it's possible plug in a wifi usb stick into a fox t2 to connect to a wifi network? My router is upstairs because I have a t2 in bedroom and other internet stuff (Philips hue, mycloud drive) will I have to use home plugs do you think because my new t2 is in the lounge...- Jailbrkr21

Ok calm down people, I didn't know it was a uk forum, I don't get to see web addresses on this phone app and I tend to get more replied when I'm sleeping or very late, so wake up to them, that's why I thought it must be a US site.- Jailbrkr21

I will install the CF, you you know where to learn how to get the red ring package? At the moment I'm using blue tack (like a sticky putty, not sure what it's called in usa) to cover the ring, looks rubbish but it's only in the bedroom like I said earlier. Thanks again.- Jailbrkr21

Ok, a further update. I replaced the whole front assembly from the HDR T2 with the one from the DTR T1000. Although it now says YOU VIEW on the front the whole unit now works properly again. I'm not bothered about the print on the front of the device, I'm just happy I can watch and record TV...- Jailbrkr21

I have finally got my hands on a dtr-t1000 to replace the remote control sensor, I have taken out the front on the machine and I have it as 1 piece. So it doesn't do the same as the fox t2? All I need it to do is view and record HD TVs channels, be able to add them to an external drive, hook into my network (wd mycloud) drive. OK, I did the flush and it keeps going to the wizard screen and boot looping, I then tried adding that latest software update and it is still boot looping. do you add the hdr_fox_t2_upgrade-2.hdf (flush) file to a flash drive with the normal update file or should i rename it to hdr_fox_t2_upgrade.hdf and put it on a memory stick on its own? the -2 bit of the file name kind of makes me thing that it runs a normal update then does this update after...- Jailbrkr21
