I haven't tried it yet but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work,
Once proven it might be worth automating the copying so the it keeps up with the latest settings
I cant remember the exact event but when there was special broadcast by the queen all of the subsequent programmes got new eventids and the humax failed to record them :(
It would be good if RS did remember which Series ids it had scheduled - this would help with BBC series where the id changes with every new "series" even when it is just a continuation of an ongoing programme like Countdown.
OTOH Channel 4 tends to use the same series id for all series of a...
Sorry I didn't scroll down to the bottom 😧
That is RS working as designed - RS works by text matching and doesn't use the series id at all.
It doesn't want to notify you or attempt to reschedule the series every time a new episode appears so it remembers when it has done a notify/schedule and...
It works for me, appears in both email and queued commands:
Does the RS Homepage correctly show your recording schedule?
If you manually schedule a recording from the RS EPG does it appear in the queued commands list and eventually in the recording schedule?
Do you have RTS (real time...
The forum covers all Humax AV products so doesn't reflect just CF users.
Downloads of the CF might be more reliable but there were problems with the download from Google and it had to be relocated so we don't really know how many have downloaded 3.13 plus some are still running on even older...
I am now seeing series links for Channel4 series on Saturday onwards and my Countdown recording is fully populated for next week using the same series Crid as before
A fix in the nick of time!
The original definition of the epg format was very poor - it should have defined sections for New/Repeat, Series and Epsiodse,
It shouldn't be hidden in the programmes synopsis with no standardized format
BBC always use a new series crid with each new season of a programme unlike other broadcasters, this is especially annoying with programmes like Homes under the hammer, Bidding room, Repair shop where they mix new and repeat episode.
It is is possible for Homes UTH to have 5 different series...
A Major unstated requirement!
Surely you could use the PC for searching and then come back to the TV once you have worked out what the name is and which folder the recording is in! I hate using on TV keyboards for any data entry.
The closest thing usable on the TV is Flatview as mentioned...
Looking on HDR FOX T2 there are NO series crids on ANY Channel 4, 4+1. 4HD programmes from Saturday 11th onwards
Other related channels E4, More 4 .... seem to be OK
A serious broadcaster error that will hopefully be fixed before the weekend but worth submitting a complaint.
It is Flexview not Flatview that provides the filtering/sorting ability
Yes I did mistake the package name in my reply - BH said Flatview and I realised Flexview already solved the problem
I should have thought of Flexview (since I wrote it) !
You don't even need to use the "find in page" since each column has a filter field at the top
NB With flexview the sorting and filtering is done in the browser not the humax so while the initial data load can be slower than Browse -...
The epg is a database so it is simple and quick to do fairly complex searches of the database.
OTOH Recordings are stored in hundreds/thousands of individual files in the My Video directory and subdirectories.
If you were content with just a file name search you can do something like:

As mentioned before install ntpclient if you are planning to run without an aerial connection, PC or router can act as ntp server if needed,
