Both my boxes wake at 04:00 for 60 minutes so that they can process the auto-decryption of the previous days recordings. I purposely assigned this time so the box wouldn't be busy.
Last thing I want is for the box/es to reboot while decryption is taking place. If, indeed, that is a possibility.
Strangely enough, both my HDRs in the last few weeks have independently had the high temperature warning. One a couple of days after the other.
I have the fan package installed on both boxes with the fan/s set to spin at 40%. This has worked well for many years, even in the recent hot weather...
Thanks both for your replies.
For what little I use this, I might as well just enable SMB1 if/when required and then disable it.
Not something I will miss
Quite some time ago I used a backup program called Syncovery to archive data off my PC to my NAS. I also used to to 'pull' recordings from my HDR and save them on my NAS too.
However, it has been quite some months since I last used the program to connect to my HDR but it it now fails to connect...
Thank you for this.
I have installed it on both my active HDRs. I have chosen to run it in test mode for a while, just to see what actually happens and to minimise the risk of ‘losing’ one of SWMBO’s scheduled recordings!
