That is my consideration between 8-10 be nice to be able to record more than 2 due to overlap.
The T2 has been good, and I may well just run it until it dies ..... the increasing frequency of freezing & crashes may become too much to put up with.
I did 'stretch; its life, when HDD failed I...
OK …. thanks for clarity, it does still make sense to buy current technology when time comes the T2 is now pretty old. The 4 concurrent freeview recording is a good step upwards.
I can wait until T2 fails fully.
The Aura can be used to record ‘streamed’ 4K content or am I reading it wrong.
plus it allows up to 4 ch to be recorded at a time.
My T2 is needing to be replaced, (maybe not immediately) it would seem logical to get current higher spec rather than buy a replacement now 13 years behind in...

This is a generic sort of question
I have a Fox T2 running customized f/w 3.13
I had HDD fail, and lately, T2 often freezes .. and have to power cycle to clear. This is becoming more frequent so it is time to start thinking about 'what box next'...

I raised a Tkt with Samsung support - ass expected they said if it only happens with the external device then report it to that device manufacturer. I will follow up now I have a reference Tkt
I could try that I'll record a section of issue & non issue and cut some Discs to try.
Not too sure if it would prove anything, but I'll try it out.
I am connected using HDMI which is recommended hook up, I wonder if its worth trying optical.
I think though TV only supports Audio output over...
I checked DVD player & BluRay, no LipSync issue from those d3vices.
also tried via Amazon FireTV. (Box not App) no issue from that either.
I did report to Samsung, but expect they will say as all OK on TV, and 3 external devices they will deem there is no issue on TV.
Yes 110 Ch 4 HD
7 Ch 4 SD
assume Channels and numbering set by local transmitter, looked on TV. EPG.
and on a Panasonic …. Same CH numbering as PVR.
Freeview CH Transmitter is Kilvey Hill … numbering may be different for you, as in Wales we have S4C HD on 4
and S4C HD on 104
Re-tested tonight.
film … Terminator 3 , live play not a recording.
Audio - Digital Channel Output- Multi-Channel
Ch110. HD. Lip Sync error
Ch 7. SD. No Lip Sync Error
Audio - Digital Channel Output- Stereo
Ch110. HD. No Lip Sync error
Ch 7. SD. No Lip Sync Error
So it does seem...
OK this may help or not.
Tonight .. a long discussion programme On TV … so all close up views and made Lip Synch more obvious.
First off it was on HD & SD … so could compare channels.
Important this was no recording this was direct watching of channels via the PVR.
First SD
No Lip-Sync
HD
on...
Just tested on 3 different file.
….. and importantly it seems we’re HD recordings, as not seen issue on SD.
With current setting > multichannel each had lip-synch issue
changing to stereo solved (at least apparently) the Lip-synch issue.
an interesting one .. I downloaded 2nd Audi synch video …...
