Yeah , this is my second machine and I've not put any custom firmware on it yet, but when they move channels it buggers the favourite list anyway. Hope that's the end of it for now
It was on talking to itself as normal just seen the retune half way through. Bit of a pain these re-tunes , buggers up the favourites and in this case for channels I delete
Have you got another telly to try it with ? Is your telly set to power a masthead amp ( voltage on the aerial socket} because that would cause all sorts of problems in the humax. I think your TV has an option for powering a masthead amp look in the menus and make sure it is set to off
In general TV's are not as sensitive as the Humax so don't pick up other transmitters. One of the give aways is you get S4C not Ch4. Just try channel 801 and see if there is any channel there, if there is you need a manual tune.
My wife used to get very confused ( so did I) whether we had the TV...
I too live in the Stockport area. I will put money on the fact you've got Moel y parc on your mum's telly not winter hill. Check for stations in the 800 onwards . These will be winter hill , you will need to do a manual tune. It's almost impossible to tune in winter hill without Moel Y Parc
Black Hole, even in the good old analogue days Moel Y Parc could be tuned in in most places south of manchester. Comes straight across the Cheshire plains. Now its digital it's so bad they give out re-tuning info on the local news Granada and BBC. Strange thing is most people in NWales tune into...
I live south east of winter hill ( about 120 degrees from Moel Y parc ), Moel y parc blasts in, the channels are in the 20's check channels 800 on , Your winter hill channels will be there.
Black Hole, My little tablet is a dual core running at 1.5ghz , plays all sorts. I put a full hd movie on it the other day just to see if it would play and it did. It also has perfect HDMI 1080p socket . 100 quid !!!!!!!:) It surprised me only bought it to store pdf files for work
Yes of course, just tried it and it didn't work. I can confirm skifta and mx player works well on my little 7" Aionol Aurora II( great tablet for less than £100). Just watched an episode of Lilyhammer. Have a go later at loading an unprotected HD file onto usb stick, see if that works. Bored...
If you're on the Winter Hill Transmitter you're very likely to be tuned to Moel y parc. I'm afraid there is no option but to do a manual tune channels 54 (HD), 55, 58,59 61, 62
yeah, sd only. Haven't used it for ages but what if you strip off the protection with foxy ? Can't try at the moment, my son's pinched my wifi dongle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most tv will overscan that's why you should select original scan or whatever your tv calls it, just scan on my lg. Try it on the test card. All I was trying to point out is that HD only broadcasts treat these DOG's differently, Personally I think they're annoying. I've noticed iplayer on my pc...
