It seems graham made a similar post to yours, saw yours and changed his post to "Should have read Black Holes post more carefully". This made absolutely no sense to anyone, such as you and me, who hadn't seen his original post, and remembered it, before he deleted it. I assumed he was simply...
If you're connected via HDMI, but the TV is showing nothing, it is possible that the device is on but the HDMI connection hasn't been made properly. That seems to be what happens with mine sometimes. I'm hoping, without holding my breath, that Humax sort it with a firmware upgrade.
I looked. TBF there were only one or two I hadn't noticed - one of them explaining why I'm no longer asked if I want to save a YouTube stream! That alone commends the Fox T2 with CF.
My HDR-Fox T2 recently packed up under warranty and I was offered an HDR-2000T as a replacement. Having lived with the latter for a month, right now I'd swap it back for an HDR-Fox T2. The lack of an on-standby UHF pass through means that I've had to split the lead from the aerial (no big deal...
Ah. Mine was a later Fox T2, but it's a Sony TV I have (and Samsung BD player).
Sounds like I'd better get on to Humax with a view to seeing if it can be sorted in the first firmware upgrade.
I've encountered another problem with our 2000T which didn't occur with either the 9300T or the Fox T2, and I'd be very interested to see if yours is the same. TV and 2000T on standby, 2000T is set to record a couple of hours in the future. Once it has started recording I switch on the TV and...
Wanting a quick fix I've sprung for an optical lead twixt Sony and Samsung and disabled the ARC. This appears to have solved the problem, except that the Samsung doesn't always turn off automatically with the Sony. That I can live with. I will, however, pop into Richer Sounds early in the new...
I'm sure you're right. In any case, I can see a solution being somewhat elusive, if not impossible. I can also see me forking out for an optical lead to connect the Sony and Samsung!
I've connected up my new 2000T and immediately met an ARC problem.
My set up includes a Sony TV and Samsung 5.1 Blu-Ray system. The Samsung's HDMI out is connected to the Sony's first HDMI in, which has ARC functionality. This means that switching on the TV also turns on the Samsung (on its DI...
In the end I decided to stay with WebIf download. What kept me amused (!) for hours was figuring out how to navigate within Telnet to directories with spaces in their names. The answer, of course, was to enclose the directory name in single quotes. Anyway, I've quickly done one 5GB HD file...
