There is another new version of this:
(1) Now supports both Fox-T2 and Foxsat with the same app
(2) In single page mode you can swipe between devices rather than going back to the login screen
(3) Landscape mode
There is a new version of this
(1) Supports multiple devices, as BlackHole requested
(2) single-page mode for those with larger screens, so they don't need to swipe left/right all the time.

I have often seen this, just move (using the remote control) the .ts file into that directory, and it will all work again.
It's caused by the "flatten" system (which moves files out of their own directories and up to the toplevel) not working properly.
It just moves the .ts, not the rest.
I am getting an "internal server error" while running detectads.
webif-error.log shows: /mod/webif/plugin/detectads/web/runnow.jim: Permission denied
detectads.log is empty
I think it's the original one, looks like this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fire-TV_Stick_and_Remote.jpg
It reports Software as Fire OS 5.2.7.1 (646581270)
and Home Version as 6.1.6.0-729
Yes it still works for me - most of the time. But there are strange failures sometimes.
It works with the native DLNA server on a Fox-T2, SD and HD, decrypted and undecrypted.
But with Mediatomb and Twonky on a Foxsat HDR then it works with SD, but not HD. It's not a permissions thing,
it...
No, there is no need to reinstall, you just go to the login page and change the details there. Suggest you use the same username/password on both boxes
so you only need to change the IP. (leaving the password field blank leaves it unchanged)
When you press OK, then you are logged in. The only reasons to go back to the Login screen are if you mis-entered the details, or if you have more than one device and want to switch. There is no Logout option.
What should happen is that the first time you use the App, you go are sent to the login page, you enter the IP etc. details and tap "OK".
This sends you to the screen with the buttons. You should only be sent back to the login page if you tap the "LOGIN" button at the top.
Even if the details...
Yes I did, it's on the app's page on the google playstore:
This is a remote-control app for the Humax HDR Fox-T2 digital video
recorder and for no other device. It must:
(1) have the Customized firmware
(2) the "ir" package.
(3) and be connected to the same home network as the phone/tablet.
I am still around, it's just I stopped watching the thread after a few weeks when no-one replied.
Get the IP address using Menu->Settings->System->Internet Setting->Configure LAN
I have created an Android App that acts as a remote control for
a Humax FoxSat with customized firmware. It works essentially the same way
as the Fox-T2 app I released a few weeks ago.

Tell me what you think.
VLC on an Amazon Fire Stick seems to be able to play (via DLNA)
encrypted HD files from a FOX-T2.
I thought only another FOX-T2 was able to do this.
Is this behaviour known ?
I think VLC on Android may be able to do this as well, it's just
my phone isn't powerful enough.

but if you find it works I'll make it public.

You can use this to connect a Foxsat-HDR wirelessly to your internet router.

But I don't know whether it will get Iplayer etc. in Spain.
I have a problem that recordings scheduled to be running at 0330 break at that time.
(other people have seen this: http://www.avforums.com/threads/foxsat-hdr-recordings-terminated-at-03-30.1474995/)
I presume there is some job that runs at that time that needs top see a particular transponder...
