     DLNA Functionality

     As far as I know the Aura has always had DLNA. There is also an app (Android and IOS versions) which allows watching programs on a phone and casting to a TV. The Aura does have various issues but it is the box I use in preference to an FVP-5000T and HDR-FOX T2.

     Please can you tell us what the signal strength and quality as reported by the Humax is when tuned to an SD channel and when tuned to an HD channel?

     Could you tell us what the "slight issue" is please? As far as I know the only difference is the size of the hard drive. Depending on what the "slight issue" is, I would just be fitting a bigger hard drive.

      The software that I write for a small community of users sometimes gets flagged as containing a virus. Complaining to the Company providing the anti-virus software usually gets an acknowledgement that there is no virus.

      "Enable Content Sharing" keeps resetting to off

      I think it is quite a common problem. I think the boot_settings package has an option to keep content sharing on.

      The FVP-5000T and the Aura both have three tuners. With the Aura you can simultaneously record four channels and (subject to some restrictions) watch a fifth live. There have been recent new releases of the Aura app for both Android and MacOS and I think most people are reasonably satisfied it...

      It definitely isn't just SD but it does require the client to support an appropriate version of the HDCP protocol.

      I suspect your obsolete product suggestion is the most likely answer. It is protected by the HDCP protocol; does the Samsung support the same or higher version of HDCP as the FVP? My recollection is that another FVP will play the HD content. It is the HDCP protocol in play again. One user...

      There have been recent changes to the BBC1 HD broadcasts on Freeview; not sure about Freesat.

      I am not sure what you mean by "it has left C5 with no series recording"; could you clarify please? in the meantime, try putting the box in standby, wait for the hard drive to stop spinning and then turn the power to the box off, wait 10 seconds and the restore the power and when the box is up...
