Vigilance seems to be the only answer to avoid missing the next and future episodes. The Beeb has been doing crazy things with series links.
For reasons that need concern no-one.... I record Bargain Hunt on BBC1, sometimes BBC2 most days around noon. Until recently it was straightforward: one...
I think you need to use the auto-audio flag. Auto-mpg appears designed to convert SD video .ts files to mpeg video, which would explain why your radio files failed to convert.
I think I understand now, thanks.
I was used to restoring the latest schedule list from the WebIf following a retune and had expected auto-schedule-restore to do just that, but automatically. As it uses a different list there is always the possibility of a different outcome.
I guess the list...
Before doing a complete re-tune I had added some new program reservations and used backup/restore within Schedule in the WebIf to save a new reservation list.
After the re-tune I noticed that today's additions were missing from the auto-restored schedule. I guess that auto-schedule-restore...
... but almost certainly we would have had to manage without custom firmware.
IMO an HDR with CF is better than anything Humax would have allowed themselves to contemplate, so we have gained and had a bit of fun as well.
I first noticed the problem before the recent update to youtube-dl (and hoped the update might address it). The update had no effect on the problem, as far as I can tell.
I found exactly the same and assumed I had made a silly error.
Previously I had left "Process options" blank, leaving Youtube-dl to choose the best available format.
Now the default download fails but seems to work provided a "Process option" [-f plus the desired format code] is set.
I have two main objections to smart meters, apart from a long-held belief that resulting 'savings' have always been wildly exaggerated and based on biased guesswork.
Firstly they have the ability to report energy consumption frequently. Anyone going on a winter holiday leaves a visible trace...
Just a thought:
Does/did the original programme title contain any unusual character, e.g. accent, umlaut etc, ?
I have known them to cause the kind of behaviour you describe - can't recall the exact circumstances but it did result in a file being masked from browser listings.
The problem you describe is typical of the condition where the broadcaster changes the audio type from 2-channel stereo (eg during the ads that precede the program) to 5.1 during the film or whatever. Most PC-based video converters and many players can't cope with this.
The solution that works...
The cause of the overheating remains bit of a mystery. When it happened the fan package had been installed and working for many months but something had contrived to disable it. Disk diagnostics show a peak temp of 62deg (normal for my install is 44 +/-2). Happily the disk seems ok apart from...
Fine here too. I also have a pair, one approaching 4yrs the other a little under 3yrs - around 30k hours between them. Only minor blemish is a few reallocated sectors needed a year ago on the older drive, but the hummy had once allowed it to get too hot.
I am about 30 miles roughly ENE from Rowridge. Post-retune signal strength of channels on COM8 is pretty much unchanged (around 50 percent with 100 percent quality). I'm fairly sure the aerial is wide-band, installed 10yrs ago. Sorry this doesn't help fix your problem but it does add weight...
I can't advise on that - I haven't tried to use its ability to 'cast' to the TV. I just have it connected by HDMI to the bedroom TV and wirelessly to one or other of the HDRs in the house. The onboard GUI allows you to navigate the HDRs file structure to choose what to watch.
Not for me to provide an answer but I can say I have been using Virtual-disk2 and NTFS-3g with a 4Tb GPT drive for some months now. No issue found, really appreciate being able to connect large drives.
At the TV end I ended up using a Sumvision Cyclone Micro 4 which can connect to and play files on the HDR, seeing it just as network storage. Its a bit clunky but it does the job.
