FTP & network places access is now back and working, I have reinstalled Humax firmware 1.02.20....
Not sure what to do next?
FTP & network places access only allows me in at My Video level, so cann't see if webif pkg is removed.
Telnet still produces same error message:
<ip address> Could...
It did but not now, since ftping _RESET_CUSTOM_FIRMWARE_ENVIRONMENT to my video dir and rebooting and then new custom firmware install I cann't ftp with FileZilla either.
The ip address is correct. I can download files via explorer. The full error message is:
<ip address> Could not open cennection to the host, on port 23: connection failed
What if telnet is not installed on the Humax?
I now have the MS telnet window running. Have tried open humax#
I get Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: connection failed
What am I doing wrong?

I have a problem! Whilst updating/ removing unwanted webif packages I have stopped webif from working. I can see the MY VIDEO etc directory on the network, (but not the webif directory) & rs still works, The Portal works also from the TV end (so the network connection seems to be ok?)...
I haven't so far, but still think I will (currently waiting for Xmas like prices to comeback). What I did find out was that most video formats (most importantly for me mkv) will play directly from a portable ext harddrive plugged into the Samsung TV's usb 3.0 port (even 3-D). I currently run...
You think you've got to the end of a thread, but you haven't. I guess you never will, haha.
I have now tried AV2HDR-T2 by raydon and it worked correctly and produced the extra sidecar files to allow ff & rr.
The below speed timings where on an 8.2GB BluRay m2ts video file of 105 min play...
I wanted to try the earlier efforts mentioned on this thread, but didn't expect much success. Last night my third effort was with tsMuxer (Transport Stream muxer - Can mux pretty much anything into a regular transport stream and now even Blu-ray's M2TS) I've used it before so I knew how good it...
