I have just checked a post code nearby to Waltham on this checker https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/coverage-checker/detailed-view and Ch55 is not listed there for Waltham, nor on Crystal Palace for mine.- A1944

If you do a manual tune for HD, you will need to know the UHF channel number used by your transmitter for them. Do you? If not, but you know which transmitter it is, someone will identify the channel number you need.- A1944

How are you counting the 136 channels? Are you looking at the EPG or the Edit Channel list? I don't much more than that from Crystal Palace. If you are using the EPG, you may not be seeing all the channels which have been tuned. You have to be very careful with the 5000T that what you...- A1944

Seems unlikely as you have tried the 5000T in two locations, but HDMI cables near to aerial cables are known to knock out single Mux. So, if you can, try retuning with any HDMI cables as far from any nearby aerial cables as possible. Mind you, unless you are desperate to have HD, the channels...- A1944

How can I retune for Quest HD without a full retuning?
Do a manual retune on UHF Channel 55 (Mux COM 7), using DVB-T2. If you have any future recordings on Mux COM 7 programmed, you will have to select them again. Any programmed recordings on other Mux should be unaffected.- A1944

Do you think the 5000 is now redundant?
I have just cast a video from YouTube on my tablet to the 5000T and it played OK. So it is still working for me.- A1944

Programme mix ups and regular freezing…soo frustrating
I wonder if the problem is with the remote. Does the red light round the power button flash when you press the other buttons?- A1944

Random switching on of FVP-5000T
Probably will not apply here, but I have a recollection of a few reports in the early days of the 5000T of it switching on in response to button presses on remotes for completely different devices.- A1944

No, nor do I, but the DNS change in my router was suggested and appeared to solve the problem as I had changed nothing else. However, as I think I said above, I had no proof that it was the solution and I do not understand why it should have worked, nor why it seemed to need a few days to...- A1944

If my experience is anything to go by, if this is going to provide a long term solution, you may have to continue clearing cookies a few times more before it takes effect. Don't know why, but that is what I found.- A1944

No, I don't understand it either, but like you clearing the cookies only lasted a couple of days. Though I mentioned OpenDNS, no doubt many others could have the same effect. If you are connected to the router by Ethernet cable, you may not need to adjust your router, as you can then change...- A1944

Jeddy: I had the same issue and found that a long term solution came with matching the DNS settings on my 5000T with one on my router, but right now I forget the details. I have not lost the catch-up EPG for many months. I discussed this on the Myhumax.org forum so I will see if I can find it...- A1944

On the 4000T/5000T you clear the cookies by selecting the Freeview Play button ("F" on the 5000T normal remote), then go to Players and select the small "i" button at the top right.
