1. wifi stopped working
  
  Dongle came today, plugged in and nothing.....What can I do to try and resolve this? The wifi is just greyed out and says network not connected. Are there any back to basic steps to try to get me connected again??

  Boy oh boy. Ordered a dongle but tonight old one is semi working...in that it sees router but can't connect. Its a normal bt home hub. Can anyone advise what the default security setting is that the humax asks for?

  Ok its working after a reboot. Back to the original problem. I tried to test the dongle on a laptop with the wifi off but it failed to install as it needed to connect to wifi to download drivers then there was a conflict! I think i need to either try to go back to a wired connection or buy...

  Er and i have another issue.......since i replaced my hard drive last week i can't access the following settings off the menu, they are all greyed out....channel list, edit channels and installation..and recording under preferences..could this be linked???? The rest of the box works ok...

  I have a wifi dongle but wifi has stopped working.....what can i check? Plugged external usb in both usb sockets and they work....dongle lights up...other devices on wifi are working...but wifi settings are greyed out and says network unavailable.

  I assumed that front was storage and rear was dongles, shows what i know you see! Will try that tonight. happy if that fixes it as i dont use the wireless or USB "that" often in reality so happy to switch between the two.

He stuck the drives in a HD caddy and the drives are not recognised, also in the system folder the settings it was all greyed out so i am kind of back to square one. However he has given...

  Quick update guys, will post more when i have more time. Connected over wifi but getting files off was painfully slow, was going to take 4 days just to get off so gave up on that ! Failed to get a connection over wired LAN so in the end i just swapped the HDD out without tranferring anything...

  Thank you both, i feel like such an idiot having to ask how to do stuff like this. If i use Filezilla and all the background files & folders are there ( not just media files), once the new drive is formatted if i copied all this across do you think it should all work as previous with minimal...
