With my new car there are physical buttons on the steering wheel to step through the radio presets I have set up which is fine as 99% of the time I will be wanting to listen to one of those twelve stations. But if I want to tab to a non-preset station from a preset station that is...
If you play on BBC Sounds its has a full track listing with the current one flagged as playing.
Got a new (to me) car yesterday and went through setting up my presets but no 5 Live Sports Extra so I am assuming I need to wait until it is actually broadcasting something before the radio will...
I used to work with someone who's desk was covered with post-it notes. He then got sent on a Time Management course and he removed all the post-its and replaced them with a single post-it saying CHECK TIME MANAGER! :D
It gives you shuffle play from a much larger selection of music of the given genre than you can ever hope for from your own music library. And shuffle play that is much more random without the repeats.
The effort and resources would be better spent turning BBC Sounds into a properly usable and functional media player for its audio offerings rather than the half-arsed effort it is at the moment.
I spent some time when first using get_iplayer working out how to set up the default filename format I wanted - PFX=YYYYMMDD=Episode=Name which I could then easily manipulate with the ReNamer utility. I still struggle each time I may want to tweak that.
I do a search then mark all relevant results to record as one. Note that it only shows programmes broadcast within the last 30 days so you need to keep on top of it and have a weekly housekeeping session to record what you want.
I use it to record radio programmes to listen to on my phone...
And / or if they block casting from iPlayer on your mobile / tablet to the TV.
Hopefully this is just a case of reducing the support effort needed for a feature that is relatively little used.
What about co-ordinated road diversions? Round here is where HS2 crosses EWR and is has happened that each has set up diversions that direct traffic into the other's road closure! 😡
The World Clock tab on the default clock app on my Samsung phone shows seconds.
Alternatively tapping on the time on the lock screen changes it to show seconds as well.
